Hi everyone, I also have my opinion and my arguments:
For those who watch the Nolife channel =) and who have seen the recent 101%, they criticized (Critique: Maybe Meliorative or Pejorative) FIFA 2010 and PES 2010:
According to them: FIFA wins
because since PES 2007, it’s FIFA that has the advantage:
From now on: the 360° thing mentioned above: FIFA has integrated it
Better ball fluidity: Very important in my opinion !!
Better viewpoints:
The possibility to:
Let me explain: During corners or free kicks: you can position your attackers before the set piece and "in pause" decide based on a chosen path where they should go:
This is a very important technique and many of these methods break down the defense
The ability to put your head on a player (2 photos required: 1 front, 1 profile)
Many other improvements even if PES remains the best for facial modeling, FIFA, according to several sites and shows: wins handily
According to them unanimously: PES has fallen too far behind and should catch up in 2 or 3 years or less
So if you prefer the name of the game and not its "interior", that's up to you, the bosses
See you later

forget it, it's easy for HD consoles, it's absolutely FIFA, but if you want PC or PS2, you have to buy PES

FIFA 10 seriously is so well done, like you can send a photo of yourself online to your FIFA and create a player with your face and everything, it's perfectly made lol. Then, between FIFA 09 and 10, there's definitely a difference, already in the graphics of the players, stadiums, fans, a ton of new boots, new balls, it's FIFA 09 but much better improved, that's all. After, it's everyone's taste; personally, I much prefer FIFA 10 to PES 10.
-
For me, FIFA is better since I've always had PES.
-
In FIFA, you can each take on a player and a position online.

Honestly, I'm personally very, very disappointed by PES 2009 (I still give it a score of 5/20), I bought FIFA 09 just to try it and then I went on to FIFA 10, listening to all the praise, and I must admit that I was greatly disappointed; the game is not up to the level of those praises in my opinion.
Graphics: 11/20
The players are poorly made; fortunately, the animation saves it all. Frankly, we expect better from a next-gen game. (let's avoid comparing it to gems in the genre, otherwise it could end up below 10)
Gameplay: 8/20
The basics are good and simple, but the rest gets complicated for various reasons:
- The skills are only meant for the virtuosos of the pad: it feels like a fighting game with the combinations needed for certain moves. There is realism and realism; we don't ask a football game to be as precise as a fighting game when it comes to special techniques. (and still, some fighting games are simpler in terms of techniques than this FIFA) This trend of forcing players to be "pad virtuosos" frustrates me...
- EA = bugs: EA is simply incapable of releasing a finished game; the game is riddled with bugs. (especially in career mode) Anyway, I'm not going to list them one by one, but just check a FIFA 10 forum to see how unfinished this game is... (there will surely be a topic dedicated to these bugs)
- The goalkeepers are stupid: they constantly rush out and end up getting lobbed beautifully every time. (Then sometimes we have high-flying sieves; I think of a career where I bought Frey with Milan. It's simple: over several matches, I faced 13 shots, conceded 11 goals and none were unsaveable or face-to-face. I felt like I was in the funniest moments of PES 2009...)
- The defenses are uncontrollable: trying to position them well is a waste of time; they will constantly be outpaced on long balls. (and the tactical options won't change much: coverage/individual marking: it's all the same in terms of breakdowns.) It's not in this FIFA that we're likely to have a closed match with 2/3 chances at most.
- The players are sluggish; we're always wondering if they will follow the runs we tell them to make... (and indeed, sometimes they don't)
- The AI scores free kicks 90% of the time, no matter which team it controls.
- The referee interferes a bit too much with the flow of the game, and the refereeing is strange: pushes will be whistled or even sanctioned with a yellow, while butcher tackles won't be whistled. Moreover, the refereeing tends to favor the AI.
- Shots tend to be magnetized by the posts given the number of times the posts can be hit in a match. (my personal record is 5 in one match)
- The physical management is poor: defenders will almost always send their opponents flying regardless of their physique (while a Messi can be sent flying at 4m: no problem, but for someone 1.85m tall who doesn’t have a mosquito's physique to suffer the same against any defender, that’s a stretch...)
Sound: 10/20
The commentary is the same as in 09 and is still just as horrible.
And the stadiums, the atmosphere isn't great: even at Anfield Road, "You're never walk alone" would rather be "You're never sleep alone."
Longevity: 17/20
The career mode is quite complete, unlike the "Become a Pro" mode which only lasts 4 years: a shame.
We will regret the absence of certain competitions that we have to create ourselves... (EA prefers to fleece fans by releasing specific games for that)
One question: what’s the point of having so many licenses (including the English D4) if it means forgetting important nations?
Overall Rating: 11.5/20
FIFA 10 is clearly not the gem everyone talks about: lots of bugs and flaws that make this game overrated in terms of scores (When I see 20s everywhere, I am shocked. As if the game were perfect and required no improvement.). This game is not as realistic as it was announced (the online scores are quite funny to see).... All these bugs alone take 2 points off its score, sorry, but we're paying 70€ for games, not for an unfinished one... EA is seriously starting to annoy me because it’s a habit of theirs to fleece players.
In short, what I'm wondering is: should I take the risk of buying PES 2010, or is it just as mediocre as FIFA 10, if not worse? Because at this rate, I might go back to PES 5, which, in terms of realism, is still far from being matched by either of them in my humble opinion. -
I have always been pro PES since its creation. However, the new PES 2010 is disappointing; the game is way too slow (the slowness is almost unrealistic: players move faster on TV), and just for that I am switching to FIFA 2010, which turns out to be simply the best football game of all time.

but buy the game of your choice!
Those who prefer PES will tell you PES, and those who prefer FIFA will tell you FIFA. -
I'm going to the video game show at Porte de Versailles on September 20th. There, they will present the games and I will go test them ;)

PES 2010 is not PES 2009; there is a very big difference. It's simple: in FIFA 2010, the players are like puppets playing, and graphically, it is less realistic in terms of player appearance. Then in PES 2010, you have a third more national teams, that is, 20 countries including Serbia, which is not in FIFA despite qualifying for the World Cup. 20 teams less is still a lot, and it's a shame for FIFA because people say FIFA is more complete, but that's not the case. Additionally, in terms of ball handling, FIFA is less realistic in gameplay; PES has always been better than FIFA; that's not new. That's why FIFA copied this gameplay from PES in FIFA 2009. FIFA has not evolved between 2009 and 2010, while PES definitely has.

Personally, I completely disagree with what you're saying!
Back in the days of PES 5, there was no comparison, don’t talk to me about FIFA...
Except that PES 6 didn’t bring any new features... and don’t get me started on 2008, or even 2009, I switched to FIFA when FIFA 09 came out. It's incomparable to PES... nothing alike!!
So thankfully this year PES 2010 brings some improvements because it was really lagging behind... I haven’t tested it, so I won’t go into detail about it, but I have FIFA 10 and the gameplay is nothing like 09 anymore.
In the end, everyone should form their own opinion...
We're not here to argue about FIFA or PES, I was able to change my mind to switch to FIFA... now I'm going to try PES 2010 and maybe I'll switch back to PES, only idiots never change their minds! -

Hello,
Passionate about PES since PES 2, I have always followed the evolution of the game, albeit with many flaws in recent years, especially with silly goals due to several bugs in the game... I have a group of friends, we meet once a week for the PES tournament, we have a blast, sometimes we complain because of the bugs but PES is a fast, realistic, and fun game.
Yesterday we had the chance to test both GAMES: FIFA 10 and PES 10.
Almost unanimously, there are five of us and we all enjoyed FIFA 10.
We found that PES has improved in speed, defensive pressing, and the difficulty of technical moves.
FIFA 10 is a bit of a crazy game with incredible technical moves, fluid passing, perfectly controlled sliding tackles, and gorgeous graphics.
FIFA 10 charmed us, I think a lot of pro PES players like me have noticed the difference and have now turned to FIFA.
Even though the SUPER NEW FEATURE is in PES with their COMMUNITY that allows us to create our name when playing with friends and keeps track of all the stats of each player over several tournaments, which allows us to KNOW who is stronger than whom!! That’s great!

ok thanks but on the FIFA website it looks better than PES

Fifa10 is much better than PES2010. Now, everyone has their own opinion :)

After a few seasons, here are some things that make me think that Konami didn’t quite finish PES 2010 but wanted to release it to counter FIFA...
in league mode (classic season)
a) the draws for the Europa League are ridiculous; for 2 seasons in a row, I qualify, and I end up in the exact same group twice, it’s not very fun....
and if I start a new season, it’s the same group again, what a blast
b) still regarding the Europa League, for the quarter-final draw, the game proudly announces "semi-final draw" well, no, it’s the quarter-finals...
c) again the Europa League, I win one, the next season when I check the season results, it shows I was eliminated in the round of 16!! ha ha ha
d) I don’t know how they do the draws for the cups (French or others), every time, the best from the previous season are in the same part of the bracket, the losers are in the other part... anyway
There you go, it might not be much, but when I see that every time, I find it a shame because it wouldn’t be hard for the programmers to fix that, they’re probably focusing on other things (to be fair, there’s a lot of work).
and of course, the goalkeepers always make astonishing blunders, like a back pass from a player at walking pace, they let the ball go past them, run after it and concede a goal!
great -
Fifa 10 for the Be a Pro experience and the graphics quality in my opinion.
-
Sam6413, given how quickly you change your mind.
I don't know if your opinion is worth remembering.
The guy goes from a terrible game to a magnificent game in 4 days. -
OK, but anyway, they will soon present them better before their release.
-
Excuse me dom56, but do you often use Korean, Austrian, or Danish clubs?
I think I’ll buy PES because the gameplay gets better every year, and the players are better made, and above all, more equal than in FIFA:
"The modeling is correct but uneven, and it will be easier to recognize a Mandanda than a Brandão." According to PlayStation - The Official Magazine when talking about FIFA.
In FIFA, when you have a one-on-one, you’re sure to score, you just do a chip shot and that's it! It's crap, honestly! -
Where did you see that his name was Nicolaie Anelko? Even if you're dyslexic, there's no need to get angry.
And if you're having fun beating teams that have 1/2 star, then good for you! (PES is better for evaluating the abilities of teams and players, as they use 6 criteria instead of 1 like FIFA :) )
Alright, bye! -
FIFA 10 is a copy-paste of FIFA 09, so since I have FIFA 09, I'm going to buy PES 2010 instead, just my personal opinion.
-
fifa arcade lol
fifa is a simulation
pes is an arcade game
the only downside of fifa, as you noticed, is that the pc version is not great since it uses the engine of the ps2 -
Anyone who says they prefer FIFA to PES can go hang themselves (lol)
Seriously, tactically in FIFA you can't do anything compared to PES
Moreover, in terms of gameplay, there's no comparison, PES is ahead, but especially PES 2010 is even more ahead; it's simply huge. It has been improved, it's crazy, you won't believe it
Anyway, PES 10, that's it
