Hello,
Since last night, my email inbox won't open and it says this:
You have tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect email address or password.
Even though I reset my password using my backup email address, I still get the same problem:

What can I do?
Should I wait (according to what I've read on other forums) 24/48 hours before trying to log in again?
Am I hacked or frozen?
Is it a virus?

Yes, I confirm, it came back on its own, I logged in normally, and there, to my happy surprise, Hotmail simply asked me to create a new password, and that's it, I logged in, and everything was normal, nothing had changed in the inbox.

create up to 4 Orange accounts.....

I don't think this is due to Orange, my account was also locked and the new password was sent to the Hotmail address... which I can't open anymore... (and I don't have Orange, I'm in Switzerland)  So MSN doesn't work either..  I imagine it must be due to a massive account hack.. but that's just a guess... otherwise I don't see..  There's always the option to create a new one but still... I have to get all my contacts back and that's a hassle...

No news so far, I called Microsoft service, and they told me they would escalate the information with my contact details... I don't know what to think anymore... The response time of 24 hours has expired. I can't help but think that it’s impossible; it aligns too much with their new security policy, with that article from RTL, so it means it's not a hacker, but indeed them, so they can do something, right? How long is this going to take? I was super precise in the form to clearly show them that I am the owner of this address. I'm losing it!

It’s working for me too!!!  Woohoo they finally solved the problem at Microsoft, but you have to wait much longer than 24 hours!!  So cool!! :-)  Problem solved for me too!
