Hello, I have a Blackberry Curve 9300 and the keyboard backlight doesn't work.
In the absence of light, I can't use the keyboard since I can't see anything.

Thank you in advance for your help

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM, I HAVE THE SOLUTION: Without turning off the phone, remove and then replace the battery. Turn it back on and it works again, LIKE MAGIC :p

      Hello everyone,
I have a BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition and I'm having issues with my keyboard which isn't lighting up. This is a problem for me since I can't see anything on the keys. If you can help me with this.

Yeah, well, the whole battery removal thing works (thanks) but for me, I'm going to see if I can find out why and how. If I find a faulty setting or something else, I'll let you know. Kisses to everyone.

Hello, I’m afraid it’s the backlight itself. Did the issue occur after the phone fell?

      Well no, he never fell.

      Hello,
I have the same problem and my phone hasn't dropped.
I bought it two weeks ago. And the keyboard backlight was working for the first few days.
      Thank you in advance.

In any case, it's a manufacturing defect, that's weird!!! Anyway, the main thing is that it works.

Fortunately, I came across this forum because I had the same issue as you! Thank you for your advice ;)

Because in the store, they told me that there was no backlighting for the keyboard, surprising ^^ lol

Good evening everyone, I have almost the same kind of problem, perhaps more complicated actually^^! When I lock my Blackberry Curve 8520, the keyboard and the screen turn off (normal) but only for a few seconds, is this normal? If not, do I need to do a specific maneuver?

In my opinion, there is a light detector in the LED; when the keyboard is not backlit, I just put my finger on the LED and it lights up ^^

Yes, indeed you have to touch the LED and the keyboard lights up because if I remove the battery and put it back, nothing happens at all!

I changed the screen of my BlackBerry Curve 8520 and now the backlighting of my keyboard doesn't work anymore. However, when I power it on, the keyboard lights up, but when I try to enter my unlock code, it disappears. Please help me.
