Hello,
I am doing a Word-Excel merge and when I use my Excel fields in Word and perform the merge, some data comes back incomplete.
For example, in my Excel cell I have a list as follows
"- 2010, my training organized by: CNFPT
- 2010, My training 2 organized by: external provider
- 2011, my training 3 organized by: "
and this sometimes with 6 or 7 line breaks.
When I do my merge, some of the returned lines are incomplete:
Ex:
"- 2010, my training organized by: CNFPT
- 2010, My training 2 organized by: provi"
What I get back is cut off and I have no idea where this could be coming from...
If anyone has already had this issue or knows where this problem might come from, I would be more than grateful...
Thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello,
It's strange. I first thought it was a character limit.
But I just tested your lines reproduced with line breaks in Excel, pushing up to 30 lines per cell! Cells that are of course truncated when copying the sheet due to the 255 character limit.
But in the mail merge, Word correctly shows my 30 lines for each record. In DDE conversion under Word 2003, and none under 2007.
So I don't see where it's coming from. Depending on your version, try using conversion.
That doesn’t help you, for sure :) but just in case someone has an idea while testing too... :-)
