Hello,
I've been using Real Player for a long time to download videos from YouTube and other sites with Google Chrome, but lately it doesn't work anymore; I don't even see the "download with Real Player" message that used to show up normally.
However, the downloads succeed on IE!!
I've tried searching, uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome as well as Real Player!!
But nothing works!
Thanks in advance
Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 534.3

Hello,
I found the solution to the problem of the Real Player download icon not appearing in Chrome or another browser when hovering the mouse!
Chrome:
First, close Chrome.
Open Real Player, go to Preferences / Download and Recording, uncheck the box: Enable downloading and recording from the Web... Close Real Player.
Reopen Real Player and check the box again: Enable downloading and recording from the Web...
Open Chrome, search for a video and you will see that the Real Player download icon will appear!
For those who have downloaded Chrome and the plugin that allows downloading from the Web:
RealPlayer HTML5 Video Downloader is not listed in the extensions, follow the trick mentioned above and the extension will appear in your extensions!
For those who have Chrome and the trick mentioned above does not work, go to Chrome extensions, disable: RealPlayer HTML5 Video Downloader and close Chrome. Reopen Chrome and reactivate the Real Player plugin.
Firefox:
Open Firefox, go to Tools/Options/General.
In General, click on Manage Add-ons, go to Plugins, disable RealPlayer (tm) HTML5 VideoShim Plug-in.
Close Firefox and reopen it and reactivate RealPlayer (tm) HTML5 VideoShim Plug-in.
Internet Explorer:
Open IE, go to Tools/Internet Options/Programs.
In Programs, click on Manage Add-ons.
In View, select All Add-ons, look for RealNetworks, Inc.
If the add-on RealPlayer Download and Record Plugin for Internet Explorer is disabled, enable it by clicking on the line: RealPlayer Download and Record Plugin for Internet Explorer and click Enable.
If the add-on is enabled, disable it, close IE and reactivate the add-on.
PS for IE, if you do not have: the Menu Bar at the top of the IE page, position your mouse at the top of the page, right click and select Menu Bar.

Good evening Direct Smash, sorry the post is from 2011, however, I found the solution, you will find it here: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-25986157-probleme-download-realplayer-chrome-resolu#p25986157
I know, I sent an error report.
The bug only affects version 13.0 of Chrome.
Realplayer is working on fixing this and will send an update as soon as possible.
In the meantime, please be patient, or use IE8 or Firefox to download videos with Realplayer.

For your information, here are the details (in English, sorry) sent by RealPlayer regarding users (of Chrome 13.0 among others) who no longer have access to the "download this video" tab.
