I know this post is a bit outdated, but it might help, so....
The often increasing volume issue is usually due to a problem with the magnetic field.
The wire from the sound module runs through this field, causing it to change on its own.
Solution:
unscrew the back cover of the TV (unplug it first),
find the 2 volume wires, normally they are long enough to move them to a different location than the original one, maybe even the opposite (right-left), and the problem should be fixed (about 3 minutes)
For me, it worked perfectly, good viewing.
