Well, what you show me here (done correctly) is precisely

What I usually do is what I showed you in the image, you saw? And that's what gives me a large size.
I think I've finally found it. I had downloaded Imageready for only 30 days and first tried the method you told me (with transparency), but it didn't work.
I tried putting whole "layers" every time by duplicating them in my palette and saved. (There were 10 images)
I did exactly the same afterwards but with the software "photoscape".
I then compared the two:
Imageready: 145 KB
Photoscape: 825 KB

I then think that it’s the software that does everything.
What do you think?
Bye and have a nice day Luke ^^

Best regards.

Hello,

Well, I think your layers should be arranged like this http://ioj.com/v/gt9jz and that way it works well. Photoscape can't do layers like that, I suppose because I don't really know that software except by name, of course Image Ready will make GIFs of much better quality but at what cost? I just treated myself by buying CS4 and, like all Adobe products, you can't really say it's cheap... :-(((
Make the most of your thirty days to do what you need and then you'll see.... :-)))
As for the rest, all the software that can create this kind of layers with just a background will make lightweight GIFs, if a GIF can be lightweight at all, even PhotoFiltre Studio is cheap (35,00€ I believe) but it does it very well thanks to a specific module.
To answer your question, I would say yes, it depends on the software but many software can handle layers in GIFs and some are free: GIMP for example...

Anyways, if it works like you want I’m really happy for you and you're all set... ;-)

@+.

Luke.

The best solution, the most practical one that requires no software download, is Smush.it from Yahoo.
Smush.it allows you to upload all images at once, view the percentage gain online, and download everything in a zip file.
It significantly reduces the file size of images without any loss of visual quality.

Here is a tutorial on Ontavu https://www.ontavu.com/2010/08/reduire-la-taille-dune-image-avec-smush-it-de-yahoo/

Hello

Having the same problem, I found this answer but I'm still as dumb as before: I downloaded XnView and I can't find any way to reduce the size of the photos I want to publish on a forum (about 1.5 MB each)

The Guyenne to the rescue of Gascogna?

Thanks in advance
