Alternative to Windows 7 Starter?

Hello,
I am about to buy a netbook sold with Windows 7 Starter configuration and I have read many comments about the drawbacks of this system, particularly the inability to open more than 3 programs at once. The catch is that netbooks with the premium version are much more expensive... my questions are:

1) Having bought a PC running Vista last September, is it possible to change the configuration of the netbook and install Vista using the CD-ROM from the other PC (I don't even know if this is possible with the supplied CDs? Would there perhaps be a licensing issue?)

2) Do you have any tips to counter this problem of limitation in opening programs?

Thanks in advance

    Hello,

No, you cannot since it's a license for 1 PC and your Vista is most likely an OEM version (tied to your computer and not another).

Thank you Athena223. In that case, is it feasible to install another operating system "easily" (I'm not a pro)?

Yes, don't worry. Installing Windows or another operating system is relatively simple as everything is explained step by step.

Whether it's for Ubuntu, Windows, ...

Otherwise, once your PC is purchased, you sometimes have the option to upgrade to the higher version at a good price by doing an upgrade.
