I don't quite understand your question, the clipboard is not directly accessible, it's a memory area that stores images, texts, files that you've copied either from a software or by right-clicking and then copying from Windows.
The clipboard overwrites the last screenshot when you take a new one.
To take a screenshot, you press the Print Screen key (at the top of the keyboard, next to the F1...F12 keys)
If you hold down the ALT key and press Print Screen: you take a screenshot only of the active window.
