Freebox: outgoing calls not working Solved/Closed

Hello everyone,Since I received my Freebox (02/2005), I can't make outgoing calls or check the voicemail using the phone: the Freebox doesn't seem to recognize the signals from the phone, even though it is compatible.The Free technical support seems incompetent, with diverse and varied responses to each call.Has anyone encountered this issue?Thanks in advance.

The solution is to correctly configure your phone.
Indeed, I had the same problem with my ALCATEL VERSATIS 830 phone, which is a cordless phone and had a continuous tone.
You need to consult the technical guide of the phone in the section "connection with a modem"; in my case, I had to change the numbering to "VOICE FREQ." whereas my phone was set to DECIMAL numbering.
If you no longer have your technical guide, you can go to the website: mesnotices.fr, you will find it there.

Yes, the hotline is totally incompetent. It's there to make extra cash for Free. If your phone isn't working, it's probably because your line is not unbundled (and in that case, all you can do is wait...). However, if you have TV with Freebox channels, it means your line is unbundled. In any case, try to check their website for information about your line and let me know.

You can also manage to get out of this by sending a letter to the General Management of Free, mentioning, for example, the DGCCRF. Usually, things tend to speed up.

Otherwise, honestly, I have trouble understanding why your phone can receive calls if you can't call people. Do you have no dial tone? Have you properly connected DSL filters to your phone jacks? (I know it probably won't change much, but I've never encountered this problem; I was without a phone for a while, but no one could call me either)

Also, let me know, is your Freebox in NAT router mode? If so, maybe you've misconfigured your Freebox, but still, I have a feeling the problem comes from Free and not from you.

No problem. Do you have the right version of the Freebox? Personally, I have the PPP-C version (it's written under your Freebox). I know that versions A and B have fewer features than C (for example, for Wi-Fi), and it might be the case for the phone as well. Check which version you have, and if it's not C, ask Free to send you one; normally, if you return your current Freebox in its packaging with everything included, it should be free.

After live tests with a technician, it turned out that the previous one didn't recognize all voice frequencies.

I have a problem with filtering outgoing calls, that is to say, I locked it with a code, I used it 2 or 3 times, and now I can't unlock it to be able to call the number or prefix that I programmed. Every time I disable the call filtering, it tells me... your new lock code is refused... and yet I don't have 36 codes... I enter the code that I programmed... Zoumed, I have the same problem. After blocking calls to 06 and 00, I want to cancel that to restrict only the paid foreign countries, but the phone says "your new lock code is refused."
FRUSTRATING! AND THE HOTLINE IS INCOMPETENT.

I wonder why suddenly the incoming phone just rings busy. Free's inflatable doll gives numbers to try, but they're useless. It's precisely since they changed that things have gone wrong; Free doesn't even recognize the identifier number and password anymore, nor the password to access the email box. On the ADUF, well known, there are pages of dissatisfied customers reporting a date, January 27th.

Hello,

I had the same issue during an initial setup when I changed the code in my management interface:
"your new locking code is rejected"

What I did to make it work (without having to change my phone; which is silly since vocal frequencies are definitely standardized):

The following steps must be done from your phone and not from your management interface:

1) I disabled the Outgoing Call Restriction service
2) I activated the service with the default code 0000
3) I immediately recreated a new code (just in case...)
4) I was able to enter filtering prefixes (if you encounter a rejection indicating that there is an incident with the service, try the process again as it seems to come from an insufficient key press speed)

J'ai un Panasonic modèle KX-TGA711EX sans fil avec répondeur, mais malgré le fait que je change la fonction décimal en vocal, je n'arrive toujours pas à émettre des appels. J'ai une Freebox HD. Mais à l'inverse, quand on m'appelle, ça sonne. Aidez-moi.

If it is impossible to dial a number, your phone may not be compatible with Freebox Telephony lines. To be compatible, your handset must use touch-tone dialing (musical keys) and not pulse dialing (clicking).
To resolve this, proceed as follows:

* Pick up the handset.
* Try to reach, for example, your voicemail by pressing Star keyStar key1.
If you receive an error message, repeat by adding Star key.
Example: Star keyStar keyStar key1.

This action allows most phones to switch to touch-tone dialing. If this method does not work for your device, please contact the manufacturer or replace your equipment.

Hello everyone, I have a similar issue since I returned from vacation... Everything was fine before, but now when I call a landline, it doesn’t ring in my receiver, it rings for the person I’m calling and once they pick up, they can hear me but I can’t hear them... This happens with both phones on the same base. When I call a mobile, it tells me "the Orange mobile you are trying to reach is unavailable."
