No ring tone Solved

Question

Hi everyone

I'm sorry but I don't know where to post my message.
So, when someone calls my landline, there is no ringing.
Yet everything seems to be working, I can make calls without any problem, and I can also receive calls (I realized this after a few tests), but there is no ringing, which is quite annoying :)

As for FT, they tell me there is no problem on the line!

If anyone has an idea, it would be really nice to share it with me.

Hello, an elderly person has asked me to look at their Sagem D20V phone, which no longer rings.
I checked everything with the manual and found nothing.
Apparently, you have resolved the issue.

Hi,
I have a phone that has a ringtone mute function. One fine day, when the ringtone was turned off, the function broke down, and since then the phone works but without any ringtone.....
I need to buy a new one or rent another!

No, the phone is not the issue; tested on another line, it works perfectly with the ringtone, everything is fine.

Sorry for my off-topic response, but I find it hard to see how the line could be responsible for a ringing, though it’s interesting to ask the question. If I have any news, I’ll post!  --=C Net'ment better, that's for sure!!=--

I have exactly the same problem and it's quite annoying: it's a professional line!!!

FT tells me it's not from their side and the same goes for Freebox

Good evening, I just installed the Sagem Livebox this weekend and I'm encountering pretty much the same problem: I can make calls without any issues, the lights are on as they should be, but when I try to call my home, I get a normal dial tone on my mobile but it doesn't ring at home and the screen of the landline phone doesn't display anything particular. I tried to contact support by phone but couldn't get anyone on the line.

I have the same type of problem:
My Sagem D20V has stopped ringing for some unknown reason. However, the line seems to work normally since I'm able to make calls and receive them, as long as I pick up at the right moment.

Additionally, I took out an old emergency phone from the cupboard, and that one rings without any issues.

If anyone has a solution, it would be a great help to me.

Good evening, I have the same problem as you.
I'm with Numericable. Everything was working perfectly and recently there's been no ringing.
I first thought it was the phone, so I bought a new one.
Same problem. I called Numericable, but since they can see I can receive calls, they don't want to help at all. I called Alcatel (my phone is the Versatis 830) and they say it comes from Numericable. What should I do?
Aside from answering at the right moment, I'm not going to camp in front of my phone.
If you can help me, I would be immensely grateful.

Hello,
I have a Sagem D20V on the France Télécom network and it has also decided to stop ringing and managing the answering machine function. Everything else works, I can pick up the line and use it when I hear the ringtone of the other basic phone, and even though the melody volume is set to a high value (4), the device is unable to make a sound when a call comes in.

I also have this problem with my SAGEM D20V.
After trying everything with the manual, I absolutely don’t understand what’s going on. The ringtones on the base and handset work fine, but when receiving calls, my phone remains silent! I’m sure it’s not the line because an old basic phone connected in its place works perfectly well. It’s a real mystery.
It should be noted that the answering machine function also no longer works, but with the France Telecom answering service, it’s not a big deal. However, having a ringtone is essential.

Hello everyone! I also have a Sagem D20v and for a few weeks I've been having the same issue as you: the phone receives the call but doesn't ring. If I see that someone is calling me, I can answer and start the conversation.

I also have this problem: an old phone works fine, but the D20V doesn’t ring anymore!
