Hello,
One of my friends told me that there is a way to boost your processor: by installing an external processor.
I haven't heard about this method, and if someone could clarify the subject for me.
If there's a possibility that my PC is compatible with one of these external processors, could someone guide me through the steps to follow?

My PC is an HP Pavilion Slimline
Model: s5108
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 7550 Dual-Core Processor 2.50 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB
System Type: 64 Bit Operating System

Thanks everyone.
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.5.5

You moderators make me laugh, external processors have existed for at least 3 years, we can order them in cyber cafes, sometimes cdiscount has them, but the easiest way is to buy them directly online. Be careful, an external processor can burn the graphics card (remember that Lordi has its limits).

It's entirely possible, there are PCI Express cards that allow for that: https://techreport.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=88480

Yes, I am currently doing it and I am working at the same time. It's possible that external processors exist, but it would entail quite a few modifications because the processor is managed by the motherboard... it's a bit like the human body, the heart is managed by the brain, well, in 90% of cases xD

So, to change the processor, do you also need to change the motherboard?

Uh... No. The heart is a cellular automaton. That is to say, it works without the brain. A heart outside the human body continues to beat for about 45 minutes.

Junichi: So, to change the processor, do you also have to change the motherboard?

Not at all, you just need to plug your new CPU into the motherboard where your first processor was connected.
And preferably choose a more powerful CPU than the first one.
( Sorry for the old UP )
