It's guaranteed for 3 years, you have 1 month after the purchase to see if you like it or not.
If you don't like it, you return everything to the store and they refund you.

Do what you want, but it's not worse than getting something of lower quality from a big store for the same price and with a shorter warranty.

Anyway, the customer service guys at big stores are useless, just like the salespeople.

For your information, check out what a brand-name PC bought at a big store gives you http://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-1314080-Packard-Bell-Imedia-5932-%E0-%E9viter

Hi,

For memory, hard drive, burner (CD, they all come with DVD burners now) and even processor, it’s not great. (everything is small, weak)
If it breaks down, what happens?
Oh right, back to the manufacturer’s workshop for 2 months.

You add €200.00 with your integrator and you’ll get good equipment.
By the way, does your integrator sell canned goods too?

Let’s be serious for 5 minutes, everyone has their job and remember that in the long run:
The cheap costs more.

Wait a bit if you don’t have the amount right away and buy yourself a quality laptop or PC from a computer seller, not from a grocery store.

See you later

Agreed with the fox: a builder will make you a custom configuration likely better suited to your personal needs
If you want to do video, for example, your hard drive is too small and you don't have a video input, just an output

Hello, I completely agree. With a big brand purchased from a major retailer, I had an issue with the DVD burner, and after a month, they hadn’t changed anything. So I got a refund for the PC + bonus. All that for a part that costs €5.
With my equipment from ALDI or LIDL, I've had no problems for 2 years.

Hello,

Especially think about the after-sales service.
If it breaks down, is it the head cashier who will repair it for you?

It's like everything, personally in my city, some integrators would be better off selling canned goods than making PCs.

There are no criteria for returns, it’s the policy of companies like Lidl or Aldi.

You buy a digital camera, you go on vacation for 15 days, you take photos, and you bring back the camera without them asking questions.

Do they do the same with foie gras cans?
Because I'm in for that. :D)

Hello, it all depends on what you want to do with your laptop
I didn't hesitate to choose a machine from Ldl. I don't see what you gain by calling them tin can merchants. As for me, I've been buying computers since 1985 and I change machines very often. I must say that the only disappointments I've had were with branded equipment.
For an average user, who doesn't have an exclusive use for the laptop (for example, someone who also has a powerful desktop machine) but needs a laptop for portable use, I don't see this offer as disgraceful. I've often followed this rule in computing: buy the cheapest possible and NEVER top-notch machines. If you pay for a high-end laptop €2000, a year later it's worth €1000; if you pay less than €700, you will still be using your laptop in a year and you will have only lost €350, so...

To follow up on my message yesterday
I don't understand the contempt shown for Lidl: personally, I get along just fine with it, and it seems to me that it's a good way to stick it to the big retailers.
I am surprised to see that someone who presents themselves as a "professional integrator" dares to criticize an offer that, while not groundbreaking from a technical standpoint, will satisfy most users.
As for those who would want to do graphic processing on a laptop, I think that's not serious. There are big machines for that.
Finally, remember: computing is always too expensive, so if you find a machine that meets your needs, there are no "duds," except for what trends and "professional integrators" would want to sell you.
But in this case, the dud is you.

Even this: the after-sales service at Lidl:
not worse than elsewhere and even better. Having bought small electrical appliances from them on which I had a malfunction:
They sent me a prepaid shipping label so I could send them the machine
three weeks later I received a new machine.
I don't know many retailers who can do as much.
I have a device that works perfectly a year and a half after I got it from them, and I paid about 30% less for the same quality compared to the market.

The catch is mainly that it's shared memory, which takes up the RAM of the micro. But we still need to figure out what we want to do with this micro: once again, we have to measure the power of the machines according to the needs. Personally, I am a heavy user when it comes to PowerPoint presentations, office work, and a bit of image processing. Until now, I was using an old IBM ThinkPad running at 200MHz with 90MB of RAM, and it worked very well, even with files over 100MB.
I think that most machines are overdimensioned compared to users' needs. There's nothing stopping you from having a very high-performance desktop machine that will cost you less than a laptop with the same performance, and if you need a portable, it’s better to opt for a machine like the one Lidl offers.

I completely agree with Marc. I am an "experienced" photographer and therefore need space and memory. Just to be clear, I bought a FUJITSU notebook with a 3GB hard drive and 100MB of RAM; of course, that's very insufficient for digital processing, but when I travel, I have 2GB to archive my photos directly and view them on a slightly larger 14" screen. It's always important to remember that a laptop is an addition to a workstation!!!!!!
AND since someone mentioned customer service: a friend had a problem with his tower purchased at Aldi: it was dropped off at the store, which took care of everything, and after 15 days, they replaced the PC. Who could ask for more? Personally, I am eagerly awaiting the release of a digital reflex camera from a...

I'm 16 years old, and in a year I'm moving to a higher education school, and at €699 for a small scholarship, I'm not going to let it pass.

Just in case, the RAM is expandable up to 2GB, so... I find this offer more than decent since it gives us a proper computer with quality components.

Samsung HDD
Siemens MV
Pioneer DVD burner
AMD processor
standard screen size, decent warranty
no luck with the graphics card, but you can't have it all, and for OEM software, it's far from a problem.

In any case, I'll let you know tomorrow if it's good ^^

It's not a question of advertising; one must also have the courage to renounce a certain snobbery that consists of believing that one must necessarily always have the best tech to be happy with a microphone. Those who discourage this commercial proposition should think about what they have dared to reply: for an extra 200€, one can have mountains and wonders. The problem is that 200€ is almost a third of Lidl's offer; not everyone can afford to think that 200€ is almost nothing; I understand Fred, who chose to buy it. I will only have mine by Friday, and I will tell you what I think about it. But I am certain that it will be just as I wish: a good tool, and nothing more.
So, those who want to keep paying more should do so, if they can afford it. Others really need microphones and get them where they are the cheapest.

Lidl is offering in its new promotions a desktop computer for €499 which seems more interesting to me than the laptop, subject to what one expects from a computer.

Hello,
For those who are interested, I picked up my microphone this morning: I admit I had cheated a bit since I had asked a manager from 3 Lidl stores to set one aside for me.
My first impression is quite nice; there was a little difficulty reading DVDs (movies) at first, but I hadn’t taken the right software. Everything works well, and for the price, I'm delighted.

I'm not really in agreement with the web fox; I'm somewhat knowledgeable in IT and I can confirm that Lidl has good IT products, which can annoy some IT sellers who can't charge the same prices, due to lack of bulk ordering, and often they take us for suckers.
Regarding warranties, Lidl's are great; I've experienced this myself with a broken burner after 2 years, replaced within 2 days by the carrier without any problem.
Bye, see you later!

Hello to the community, it’s January 2010 and I have an AMD Targa from Lidl that I bought five years ago in Ollioules in the Var. At first, my friends laughed, especially one of them who is a computer geek. Since then, he has buried quite a bit of hardware, changed computers three times, haha, and I've still got my little Targa gem. The tower was only opened once (other than cleaning it every six months with compressed air), because I had completely bogged it down, and actually, before the guy from customer service arrived, I managed to reset my computer all by myself with the provided CDs. In short, I've needed their service three times in five years, and they are top-notch! My tower is still as silent as ever, a true marvel. The burner works perfectly (I spend an average of 7 hours a day on my computer all over the place, just to clarify...), and I swear by Targa. I’m not sure, but I think it has become Targ... now??? I also have the large steam cleaner from Lidl, quite a bit of kitchen equipment, I also buy very good canned goods, the chocolates are delicious, smoke alarms, blankets, pillows, and all sorts of stuff. My childhood friend marvels at the condition of my computer every vacation when he comes over. Initially, when he saw what was in my computer, Dell, Toshiba, etc., and the gadgets, Wi-Fi, keyboard, speakers, headset, webcam, etc., he told me, “You got a great deal, my old friend, I wasn’t expecting that, but it’s really good equipment.” And as far as I’m concerned, my next computer will come from them, that’s all there is to it, smile! Targa from Lidl and Lidl: I love you, isn’t that a declaration of love for my computer? I’ll come back next year to give you updates, bye-bye! Yesterday, I bought a Parksider sander from Lidl with 4 packs of disks, 19.90 for the eccentric sander, guaranteed for 3 years like always. I’ll tell you more about it in the sanding aisle!
