S-video AV3 TV issue

Hello,

I wanted to emphasize the urgent nature of my question, as this operation was performed on equipment that does not belong to me...

While "on vacation" at my girlfriend's place, we connected her laptop to her parents' TV via an S-Video cable.
For your information, it is a Thomson cathodic TV with 3 inputs...

After watching our little movies, we reconnected the new box power cable which is connected to the AV3 peritel, but nothing shows up. Given that there are three inputs behind the TV plus one S-Video input at the front and only AV1-AV2-AV3, I assume that the "front" input has taken over AV3 by disabling the peritel input behind the TV...

Do you know the solution to reactivate this peritel? Are you aware of this issue?
All your contributions will be helpful, especially since her parents are coming back this weekend....

Thank you all.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.5.2

Hello, on the remote control, there is a button that allows you to change the input, so press it until the correct input appears, typically it is at the top of the remote.

First of all, thank you Toto for your reply.

    I tried AV1, AV2, and AV3 but it's the same...

What I find strange is that there are 3 AVs but 4 entries... I wonder if the front entry disabled one AV...

If at the front it's AV4, there must be S4 or YC4 for the S-video input... No, that's not possible, these jacks are made to be used and have an input assigned to them, so for it to change by itself... I've never seen that!! Did you just unplug the 9box from the power supply (to get the jack?) or from the TV as well? What's the model number of the TV?

It's not a recent TV, it's a Thomson cathode-ray tube, what I find strange is that there are 3 SCART sockets at the back and only 3 AV. The S-Video cable was plugged in at the front (like the sockets for the camcorder...), and it was using AV3....
In fact, the power supply of the Neuf TV box was unplugged when we arrived, the box is connected to a SCART at the back of the TV...

It's strange that you rely on AV3 for the front, while there is a AV3 SCART connector at the back!! TV bug? I don't know, unplug it from the mains and wait a bit before plugging it back in... Otherwise, I don't see!
