Hello,

I use a GMX email address but the account has been blocked by the administrators due to suspected fraud. How can I reactivate it?

    It is possible that they detected suspicious activity and blocked your account as a precaution. The reasons for the block are explained in detail on this page. To recover your account, you can contact GMX via this form.

    Personally I’ve abandoned this provider.

    I created an account in November 2025, it worked very well, from one day to the next, around December, the password is incorrect.

    GMX has no password reset system link. There is a link https://password.gmx.fr but the response is vague:

    Recover your
    password

    Please select an option to recover your password

    Show passwords saved in your browser

    If you have saved your GMX password in your browser or your email client, you can have it displayed. For more information, please consult the help center

    In short you have to go through their form, to this day still no response and 2 follow-ups made. I gave up. The account will be unused and then deleted later.

    As long as it works, it’s OK but at the slightest hitch it becomes a real hassle.
