Hello,
I have a Panasonic TV model TX L32U10E that can read an SD HC card. I'm having trouble finding the compatible format for the TV to play movies from the card.
The manual states that: "Files compatible with the SD-Video Ver. 1.2 [MPEG-2 (PS format)] and AVCHD standard, with MPEG-1/ Layer-2 or Dolby digital audio format."
I have already downloaded Format Factory and AVS4 Converter!
I would like to put downloaded movies (which are in AVI format) on the card so that they can be viewed on my TV.
In these software programs, there are many different MPEG2 and MPEG4 formats, and those I have tried do not work.
If anyone is experiencing the same problem or has the solution, I would appreciate it if you could share it with me.
P.S.: I am not a "pro" at computers, so a precise answer with instructions would be welcome.

AVI files (probably encoded with Divx that your TV cannot read) need to be converted to MPEG-PS using the MPEG2 codec.
Personally, I use MediaCoder, but it requires a bit of learning.
You must first learn the difference between a container or file (AVI, for example) and a codec.

Hello,
I have the same problem. Could you give me a link to download software to re-encode my .avi to AVCHD or MPEG-4 since I already used "Free VideoConverter" but it only compressed half of the movie and then asked me to choose a paid option for 15 Euros. Moreover, the compressed image was very stretched vertically. Thank you. -
Hello
I am giving you the MediaCoder link
Choose one of the 3 servers
