Hello,
With the powerline adapter, I would like to connect two outlets in my house, one is located on an electrical network dating from the 70s, the other is placed in a new part where the electrical network has just been created. Each outlet is therefore connected to a distinct circuit breaker but is powered by the same meter. Would the powerline adapter be suitable?
Thank you

Personally, I have a very recent experience to share.
Following an internet outage (box issue), I connected using the DEVOLO 200 powerline adapters to a box in the neighboring building (at a relative's place). The two buildings have different EDF meters. To my surprise, I was connected instantly. I then connected my powerline adapter to my router, and all the computers I have benefited from my neighbor's internet.
I thought the signal should be restricted to the meter.
Can anyone tell me if this is normal?
Thank you and have a great day.

the adapter attenuates the signal but does not completely block it.
Only the low voltage transformer (if it is not equipped with couplers) will completely block the signal.
Your experience clearly shows the limitations of using powerline adapters in terms of both security and interference: it is certain that in your neighborhood, if about twenty powerline adapters do the same thing, the modems will interfere so much that no one will be able to communicate via powerline adapters.
