CPL with differential meter in the middle???

Hello,

I would like to connect two PCs via a powerline installation behind my Livebox. So far, nothing complicated, I've bought the gear, I've plugged it in, and it works.

Except that part of my house is electrically separated behind a differential meter (extension of the house). It turns out that the powerline doesn't work in that area.
Is this because the meter cannot be crossed? If so, is there a way to bypass the problem? Are there any specific devices needed in this case?

Thank you in advance.
Alain.

Hi,
differential circuit breaker ... you mean differential switch, right?
In that case, are you talking about the EDF differential (300mA) or the one in your electrical panel (30mA)?
A circuit breaker in the panel doesn't normally stop WiFi signals, but it certainly weakens them (inductive windings) and if that adds up with other signal weak points, it can prevent proper functioning, of course.
It's worth noting that powerline communication (PLC) is not a technology with certain operation as it's too dependent on the environment.

And ... There you go!
