For calculations in Excel
you need to check if it's a punctuation mark
for example 25.50 or 25,50 the numbers must be written with a comma to calculate a cell
you need to remove your points

Hello, I also have a problem with an Excel table.
My table includes several calculations with formulas, and in the end, when I try to sum the results of my various calculations, I always get the result "0" appearing.
More specifically, when the sums I am adding are all greater than "0", the result appears normally, but as soon as one of my cells to be summed equals "0", the final result is always equal to "0"...
PS: I would like to specify that I have checked and there is no issue with commas or periods.
Thank you in advance!

Hello,
the cell contents may be alphanumeric: a space at the beginning or between characters; it appears to be a number, but it is not in reality
Good job

Maybe in your formula you're adding the cell where you're putting your result.
It happened to me, and it took a long time to find out, but display your formulas and you'll see if the cell where you have your formula is in the formula.

Indeed, when I right-clicked, went to cell format, the format was "number," but the content was always in text format. I then converted the text to number and now it works perfectly.
Thank you very much for your help.

I followed your reactions, but I did the opposite:
not using commas; rather using points for the decimals; it works.

yes all my cells are well formatted as numbers.
the syntax is =g15+g52.
see you later
Sympa + tompols

Tell me, in simple terms, you enter your decimals with a "dot" or a "comma", your problem may come from that!!!
By default, it’s the "comma" that acts as the decimal separator. If you want to change the comma to a dot, you need to change the settings in the regional parameters to use the dot as the decimal separator...

thank you friends
after checking the punctuation, I found that the problem is at this level, once I changed the commas to periods, the sum is correct. we can also change the decimal symbol from the control panel.

Hello, I'm also having an issue. I would like to sum several cells that all contain the same formula. I've tried using a comma, removing the quotes, but nothing works. I'm on Office 2010:
Here's my formula:
=IF(E4:E49="iPhone 5C Blanc 8Go","1.0",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 5C Bleu 16Go","69.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 5S Gris 16Go","119.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 5S Argent 16Go","119.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 5S Gris 32Go","159.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 6 GRIS SIDERAL 16Go","199.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 6 GRIS SIDERAL 64Go","289.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 6 GRIS SIDERAL 128Go","379.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 6 PLUS GRIS SIDERAL 16Go","289.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 6 PLUS GRIS SIDERAL 64Go","379.9",IF(E4:E49="iPhone 6 PLUS GRIS SIDERAL 128Go","469.9",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Galaxy Young 2","1.0",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Grand Prime","1.0",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Galaxy A3","1.0",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Galaxy S5 Active","69.9",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Galaxy S5 4G+ black","64.9",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Galaxy Alpha Gold","134.9",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Galaxy Note 4","214.9",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Galaxy Note Edge","339.9",IF(E4:E49="Samsung Galaxy Alpha Silver","134.9",IF(E4:E49="Sony Xperia Z3 Compact black","1.0""")))))))))))))))))))))
When I try to total it, even though everything is filled correctly, it stays at 0. But when I do a test by simply putting a number "20", the total works.
Here's my formula:

Hello, I solved the same problem as you, Excel doesn't recognize my numbers, so there’s no sum calculation.
I selected my entire column, I pressed ctrl H, put a comma in both blank fields (Find and Replace with), replace all and everything turned into numbers at once...
Thanks for the tip of replacing with !
Thank you very much! I was stressing out for an hour and that was the solution.
