It doesn't happen to me every time I turn it on, but from time to time.
I would like to know where it comes from; can you please help us?

Same problem with an Acer running Windows XP, the resolution changes by itself on startup and when I plug it into the power source.

    Thanks in advance.

    I have the same issue!!!!
I don't understand what it's due to, so I checked if I had a virus and nothing... I also checked if my video card driver was up to date... but nothing on that side either!!!
I don't understand anything, and it's not every startup that I have this problem, but sometimes...
    Help us!!!!!!

It becomes quite annoying to have to reset the resolution every time I turn on the computer and to rearrange all the icons!

Hello, I asked for help a bit earlier. In the meantime, it got fixed.

So I had the same issue, the resolution was changing by itself on startup. Gradually, the screen of my computer stopped turning on at all. I had it repaired, a part was replaced, and now everything is fine.

It’s a sign that the cable connecting your laptop to the screen at the hinge is going to fail. Either a bad connection, or it’s breaking.

If you know how to disassemble your laptop, you can solve this easily, otherwise, take it to a repair shop; they kept it for 15 days for me, with no charge, as it was still under warranty.

In digging around a bit, I found this. I really don’t understand it, but the "not supported" seems suspicious to me. Does it answer my question or not? What does it mean?

    Monitor Supported Modes:
    1440 x 900 (60 Hz)
    Display Power Management Support:
    Standby Mode: Not Supported
    Suspend Mode: Not Supported
    Active Off Mode: Not Supported

Are you sure this is the only solution, Anapel?
Because my laptop is only 6 months old...
