PC that restarts on its own after shutting down!!!

Hello,
for some time now when I've been trying to turn off my PC, SOMETIMES (not all the time) it turns off and THEN IT RESTARTS!!!
I either have to shut it down again (it never restarts twice in a row) or cut the power (and I don't like doing that).

I've searched everywhere online and I've already done quite a bit to solve this problem like:
go to My Computer in the office (right) - properties - advanced - startup and recovery then uncheck automatic restart
or
Go to the maintenance center to troubleshoot
because supposedly Windows can restart if there are bugs during shutdown and since at first it worked perfectly and never did this to me... Is it a bug (and when I turn it off I just have time to see a window with a message "Force shutdown" but it does it automatically)???

Anyway, nothing works, it still occasionally turns back on by itself!!!

How can I solve this problem?

I have an Alienware M 15x
Processor: Intel Core i7 Processor 620M (2.66GHz, 4MB cache)
Screen: 15.6-inch HD+ widescreen (1600 x 900) WLED
Memory: 8192MB (2x4096) 1333MHz DDR3 Dual Channel
Hard drive: 500GB Serial ATA (7200RPM)
Battery: Main 9-cell 85Wh LI-ION
Graphics card: 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX260M
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.6

    lately, have you made any changes to the WINDOWS system settings or have you deleted files using software like CCleaner or programs to remove unnecessary files?

    Have you deleted files in the SYSTEM32?

    Problem solved, it was a hardware (physical) failure that damaged the Windows boot area according to what the support told me.
    Here I am with a new hard drive and no more issues ;-)

    Once again, thanks concept-staytion for trying to help me, but since the problem was hardware, we weren't close to solving it LOL!

    This bug is honestly annoying!!!

    I was able to see with McAfee the deleted items, but none come from SYSTEM 32 nor concern a Windows element!
    As for CCleaner, since I have McAfee (and this PC), I haven't installed it (I thought I had, but no).
    The problem remains intact!

    What should I do to make my PC like it was before (without doing a factory reset) and to stop it from restarting sometimes when I turn it off?

    first of all, thank you for trying to help me.
    Yes, I indeed used CCleaner and McAfee, but I didn’t touch the files in the SYSTEM32.
    Do you think it’s a file deleted by CCleaner or McAfee that is causing my problem? If so, how can I find out which one it is and how to recover it?

      no, I didn't delete anything.
