What is the purpose of an RCA to USB cable?

Hello,

I have a cable with a USB output on one side and Red Yellow White (RCA) outputs on the other.
What could it be used for if we know that sound cannot come out of a USB output?

    red & white is the sound (right and left) yellow is the video. To connect to a TV.
