Read USB key (audio) on Hi-Fi system

Hello to the community that often enlightens me and fascinates me when I delve into a technical subject.

Today, I haven't found an answer to a question that has been bothering me: is it possible to play music stored on a USB stick on a Hi-Fi system not designed for that?

What equipment would be necessary, if this is indeed possible? I believe that the USB stick is a digital medium, while the system is analog; if I'm not mistaken, a simple connection might be insufficient, and it would be necessary to have some sort of "modem"?

And regarding video, how can one play a USB-image on a flat screen that doesn't have an input for that purpose?

Hoping to spark your interest...best regards.

Yes, you actually connect a jack cable like this between the speakers of the hi-fi system and your USB audio key:

and if needed, you also have this kind of jack for the hi-fi system:

    there you go, that's it.
