Can you connect an RJ45 cable without a crimping tool? Solved

Question

Hello,I bought an RJ45 cable and I was wondering if it was possible to connect the cable to a RJ45 wall socket without a crimping tool, as it costs €15-20. Before making this purchase, I want to be sure that I can't do it without the tool.

Oh okay, excuse me; my cable doesn't have an RJ45 connector, I want it to be connected to the wall socket, in which case the wall socket is connected to the box via the cable.  Box -----------> wall socket -------------> PC The arrows represent 2 RJ45 cables, it's the first one I've been talking about from the beginning.  It's the first cable that goes from the box to the wall socket that is causing me problems, I would like it to be connected to the socket and for us to then be able to insert (in the socket) another RJ45 cable.  I hope this helps you understand.

I didn't quite get it! If your wall socket is an RJ45, there's no problem... If it's not, I don't know where you're trying to plug your network cable, but it might not be compatible (with or without crimping).

To be brief, you just don't have any RJ45 connectors, right? If you have to strip your cables, a stripper might be preferable, but it's doable by hand; that's how we make homemade cables of 23 meters and 15.6 centimeters, lol. On the other hand, if your box has to be powered while you're making your connections, it might be less fun.

If I were you, I would get the crimping tool... of course, if it's for ONE cord, it's not very useful, but it's already good for making a cord for your PC in the other room... another for a network printer, another for the TV box, two more for the kids' room.  a cord (with male plugs) of 10m for 15 euros online. 40 euros for 100m, the crimping tool costs 20 euros. After making two cables, the tool pays for itself...  and it's always good to do it yourself...  well, it's true that one might think that without the tool, it’s saved immediately... but we always say "bad tools make bad workers."
