Sims 3 launch issue Solved

I bought The Sims 3 yesterday, the installation went smoothly, I launched the game and started playing without any problems, I played for several hours and the game worked perfectly.

This morning I turned on my PC to play, and when I tried to launch the game with "The Sims 3 Launcher," the launcher appeared, I got the launcher screen but the interior part does not display and it gets stuck with the hourglass spinning endlessly, and when I press ctrl alt del, the task manager indicates that The Sims 3 Launcher is not responding.

I checked several forums and topics where people talk about a problem launching the game but on the first attempt. My problem is that the game worked perfectly well yesterday, so I don't understand why today I can't get it to work.

I checked the system requirements for The Sims 3 and this game requires a 2.0 GHz processor, I have a 1.6 GHz processor. For the graphics card, I have NVIDIA GE FORCE GO 7400, but it is not listed among the compatible graphics cards with the game.
I don't know if this could be the issue, I just don't understand since the game worked fine yesterday!!!

For your information, I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop.

Please help me, thank you in advance for your responses, I don't know what to do.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
I managed to fix my problem with The Sims 3, I found the solution on other forums. Actually, you have to launch the game from its source, you need to find the game folder in My Computer...., drag it to the desktop and then launch the game by looking for the TS3 link in the game root folder through My Computer....
So for me, it works now, except that I don’t go through the Sims 3 launcher; I just launch the game by clicking on the Sims 3 logo on the desktop and it works, but I won’t be able to update the game since those updates are done through the launcher.

Do you think it comes from the game? And not from my NVIDIA GeForce 7400 graphics card or my 1.6 GHz processor that are not compatible with the game even though it worked well the first time.

maybe when you tried it for the first time, your graphics card and processor had to force the game's startup, and when you tried for the second time, they were exhausted...

I think your computer components are not to blame in this matter; check what I asked you.
And by the way, when did you buy the game? I'm saying this not in relation to the warranty, you see?

I bought the game yesterday and the warranty is 90 days. I will see if I can find a solution. I checked the help section of EA in the game folder and they advise updating the graphics card drivers. I will try...

But if it actually comes from the game, I will try to get a refund...

I did what you said but it doesn't work and it shows me 'this application could not start because the application's configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application might resolve this problem.' Do I need to reinstall the game?

Don't reinstall the game.
Go to My Computer/HDD(C)/Program Files/Electronic Arts/then you have a folder called The Sims 3
Drag it to the desktop.
Launch The Sims 3 (it will tell you that it can't find the program) click on Browse/Desktop/The Sims 3 and click on TS3.

I'm desperately trying to launch my Sims 3
But from the installation icon, it tells me that Sims 3 Launcher has encountered a problem
When I look in the root folder C://Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Bin
either Sims3launcher gives me the same error message
or TS3, the message is Sims3 has encountered a problem and needs to close

It's not great because I can't do any updates or buy anything from the Sims Store (the 12 euros offered with the game).

I have the same problem, but despite that, you can still launch the game even without the launcher!! Of course, you won't be able to do any downloads or anything, but you can play The Sims 3.

Hello, hello.

I had the same issue, and I managed to fix it by going to computer\drive C:\ElectronicArts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.

Then, I right-clicked on Ts3 and I was offered to "troubleshoot compatibility"; there was a first option, I tried it, but it still didn't work, so I selected the second choice, which said it wasn't working.

I chose options that restart the game as if my computer were using Windows 7. The game started normally.
