Add text to a Nero Vision slideshow

Hello,
I would like to know how to insert text into a slideshow created with Nero Vision. I have added all my photos, the desired transitions, music is fine, but I can't find how to insert text. Is it even possible...?
I would like to:
- insert a text screen between two photos (silent movie style)
- insert text ON the photos (I can possibly do this in Paint Shop Pro beforehand, but maybe there is a trick in Nero?)
So, I am looking forward to your ideas, thank you in advance.
(If it’s not possible, what other intuitive free software can create a slideshow video from photos, with transitions, music, and text insertion as explained above????? And that allows for decent quality...)

I only succeeded by writing texts on photos I had in my old Photoshow Express, which gave me the option in "edit." After writing my texts, I reintegrated them into my Nero 9 slideshow, and it turned out very well. By the way, have you had any problems with the "browse" icon to search for images? My icon no longer opens my upper left panel. It gives me a small box asking to enter the file I want, and that doesn't work. If you can help me, I would appreciate it a lot.

Personally, I have given up using NERO Vision 9 in favor of PowerPoint. I have never had such a hard time using software like NERO Vision 9. I bought this product that only serves me to burn CDs and DVDs. Very good burning software but that's all.

in Nero Vision 9, I can write directly on the photos. I always choose "create a movie and not a slideshow (because sometimes I insert small videos with my photos). Then, we switch to "timeline editing" mode. At the top right, we click on "A - Text Effect". We choose a text effect and drag it to the photo we want. By double-clicking on the rectangle of the added text effect, the properties appear. We then enter the comments we want, with the size, font, and duration we want. I usually reduce the duration a bit so that the comments disappear, allowing us to see the photo properly.
I have put out a call to everyone regarding the addition of a blank color panel, as I now want to write my comments on a separate page instead of directly on the photos.
I am currently awaiting responses...to come...

Thank you for the answers that Nero's support couldn't provide. I spent a bit of money buying a software that is more than useless, but never mind. I just uninstalled it from my PC and I'm using PowerPoint and AVS4You, which are much more comprehensive and especially more user-friendly than Nero.
I am currently creating a slideshow with Nero Vision and to put text on my photos I have a small icon (a blue circle with a white V inside) at the bottom left, the last one on the icon line when I am on the Show Images option. You hover your mouse pointer over it and you will see Properties appear, you click on it and there you can add text to the photo you previously selected. I have a sound problem, that's another issue, I will need to figure it out...
Yes, I already know Windows Movie Maker, but I was wondering how to do it in Nero Vision, which seems like a more advanced software, so certainly with a better result.
Is the solution to put text in a photo software first and then insert the jpeg images????
I’m surprised that Nero doesn't have an option for inserting text.....
