Hello,
I wanted to back up the content of my hard drive, burning made in Nero....
It says that the verification failed, what should I do?
Should I consider that my hard drive is not properly backed up onto the CD-ROM and that I won't be able to access my data on it....
The multitude of errors during verification had this title, approximately:
"Error on section .... 25960 to 25 975"
for example.....

Thank you.

I think it comes from a poor selection of burning options, particularly the speed, which is too high for the chosen medium...

I recently had the same problem when discovering Nero because I didn't know which option to choose (there are so many) for burning. Then I tried starting Nero with Start Smart and since then everything has been fine. I have to say that I also tested several different media and I probably found the one that works best with my burner. It's quite a complex story with Nero. It's often a question of the quality of the media but also of compatibility with the burner. There isn't really a rule.

Hello,

still having issues? :))

it says the verification failed
1) defective sector on the CD (it happens!!) --> reburn
2) speed too high for the medium

** I've encountered this a few times already... and sometimes the CDs are still readable... but in your case, it's better to have certainties...

Hello, I have the same kind of message (see my post): but the discs are indeed unreadable when I try to copy/paste to the hard drive...

What should I do?
Are there settings that need to be adjusted within Nero?

Good evening,

but the discs are indeed unreadable when I try to copy/paste onto the HDD..
never had this case... on an entire disc
although... I did have some issues with Maxdisc * 8 brand DVDs... if I burned at more than * 4
since then I've been using Verbatim * 16 DVDs and I've had no more issues
(LiteOn cd/dvd burner (cd *48 - dvd *16))

let's see if 1) it's systematic
2) it works with another brand of cd/dvd
3) it works by reducing the burning speed
4) it works with another burner (the most difficult!!)

Hello,
it may sound strange, but if you have errors when verifying a DVD with Nero, I suggest burning the DVD faster!!!
Indeed, I used to burn at 4x and I often had this problem, but at 8x I no longer do!
