I would say to use nail polish remover (acetone), but I'm not sure it won't damage the screen as well. The least bad option is to gently go at it with a towel or a washcloth with VERY hot water. It will come off slowly by softening the stuff. You just have to be patient.
Hello everyone
To remove chewing gum from an LCD screen, after removing the largest pieces, simply take dry cotton (very important: dry and definitely not wet or damp) and gently rub the soiled part with the chewing gum residues. No need to panic, the cotton will stick to the chewing gum and turn into a small ball. You just need to rub in a circular motion while pressing a little on the screen, and with patience, all the chewing gum will stick to the cotton and that's it. I tested this method on my son's Nintendo DSXL screen and it worked well.
Good luck everyone.

My daughter had this great idea this afternoon as well!
Step 1: Use a dry cotton pad to clean the baby's bottom, pressing slightly with your nail to help.
Step 2: With the same type of cotton pad but this time soaked in white vinegar, make small circles to degrease.
Step 3: Use a regular microfiber cloth and in 35 minutes, nothing remains... A miracle!

Okay for hot water, that’s what manufacturers recommend for cleaning
I disagree with the paper towel, it’s abrasive (paper = wood = scratches), use the microfiber cloth that comes with the LCD.

all I can say is... ESPECIALLY NOT WITH SOLVENT!!! it will remove the "film" that makes the screen matte, I’ve had the bitter experience of it! try to slowly push the chewing gum back with a sort of small rubber wedge and then a damp paper towel!!!

this is just my humble opinion, I accept it being challenged!
