Hello,
So here it is, I ordered a complete screen on eBay, after receiving it, I assemble it, as I usually do. I turn on the iPhone, the display works, but the touch doesn't. I send an email to the eBay seller, they send me a new one, I just received it today, I assemble it, it works, I realize that I forgot to replace the grille for the speakers, so I disassemble it, put the grille on, and reassemble it, I turn it on and again, the touch doesn't work .. Everything is well connected, the touch ribbon is properly plugged in. I've probably done this operation more than 20 times on an iPhone 4, I've never encountered this problem ..
If you could help me ..
Thank you! :)
Configuration: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 3.3 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, Nvidia GTX 460 1 GB Oc @ 1.8 GHz, Windows Se7en/XP Pro/98SE + Ubuntu + Debian, HDD 500 GB + 1 TB + 320 GB + 160 GB + 500 GB Motherboard P5B Deluxe edition

An important thing to know that a charming iPhone screen saleswoman told me: you need to heat the connectors if the contact is poor.
That's what I just did with exactly the same symptoms described in this post: new screen, but the touch doesn’t work, and even the LCD seems to fail with insistence...
I did a first pass with a hairdryer, 30 seconds 10 cm away from the connectors, moving it back and forth.
I then noticed after reconnecting that a faint Apple logo appeared!
I heated it again, this time with a bit more heat and airflow: perfect result!!!! The LCD and the touch worked.-
I just did what you described, but nothing works; my screen + LCD is new, but it's still BUGGING :/
WAITING FOR A RESPONSE- Have you seen the beginning of an image appear with the new screen? If so, then the "blow" from the hairdryer can help soften the contacts and resolder them.
If you didn't see anything on the screen, try with your old screen if you still have it: it's better to properly diagnose the situation rather than assume a defect with the new part like the screen.
