Hello,

Here is a letter I sent to Panasonic; any comments would be welcome, thank you in advance,

Dear Sir or Madam,

We purchased a Panasonic plasma television model: TH42PZ800E in December 2008. We were greatly disappointed to discover that, no matter what we did, it was impossible to use our satellite receiver: Humax Foxsat HD (connected to HDMI input 1) in automatic switching mode. We therefore have to manually select the input in question.

We also own a Panasonic Blu-ray player BD35 (connected to HDMI input 2), which works perfectly using VIERA link.

We tried the same satellite receiver on our two Panasonics: TH37PX70B and TH42PZ800B at our residence in the UK and were surprised to find that our Humax Foxsat HD satellite receiver switched automatically to HDMI perfectly on both televisions.

If the SECAM L televisions sold in France do not switch to HDMI automatically (except with Panasonic equipment), we request a refund for our purchase as it does not meet our expectations.

However, if there is a solution to enable automatic HDMI switching like the Panasonic UK models, we would appreciate it if you could let us know.

We look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely,

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0
