Hello,

I have a problem with Outlook 2003.

When I write an email, it doesn't suggest any names from my contacts, and moreover, if I press the A key, it does not open my contacts file.

However, if I go directly to Contacts, I can access that list without any difficulty.

Any idea to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

First of all, for Outlook to suggest contacts to you, you need to have used them at least once. Indeed, this suggestion does not look for your contacts in Outlook but in an NK2 file built up gradually by Outlook.

Otherwise, when you type the beginning of a name, you can press Ctrl+K to get the suggestion from your contact list. Does that work?
It is possible that your contacts are not recognized as an Outlook address book. Display your contacts and then right-click on the Contacts folder (top left) and choose Properties. Under the "Outlook Address Book" tab, check that the option "Show this folder as an email address book" is checked.

There's no need to ask me questions in PM...
I definitely won't respond to them... The forum is made for that.

The problem was that I couldn't access the checkbox to consider the contacts as an address book.

So I uninstalled the profile and recreated it, reimported the data, and everything works now.

Thanks again for your help, Marina.

Best regards
