Hello!
So, I have a little issue with Outlook 2003, nothing too serious but it is a bit of a pain... Every time I open the software, a window titled "Internet Security Warning" pops up. It says the following message:
"The server you are connected to is using a security certificate that cannot be verified. A certificate chain has been processed but ended with a certificate root that is not trusted by the approval provider. Do you want to continue using this server?"
And then I have to click "Yes" to receive my emails.
This problem is even more intriguing to me since several people with exactly the same computer, the same operating system, and the same settings as I have, have never encountered it, while I've been facing it since my very first use of Outlook...
Well, I hope someone can help me!
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone!
If others have the same issue, I’m going to tell you what I did.
I suppose many actions don’t help but I don't dare touch anything now that it’s working.
First, go here:
Back up your registry by using File > Export in the registry
then follow these instructions: https://docs.microsoft.com/fr-fr/outlook/troubleshoot/security/how-to-turn-off-email-matching-for-certificates
Then, if your problem is the same as mine, it shouldn’t change anything but you need to go to Outlook > Tools > Account Settings, double-click on your account, make sure the POP3 and SMTP settings are configured correctly, then go to More Settings in the Advanced tab and click on Default. Personally, being with Club-internet, I had to uncheck SSL verification and set 110 for the POP3 server and 25 for the SMTP.
The Default button fixed it for me on its own.
Do the same with all your other accounts.
It should work.

Thank you for this information. I had the box checked. No more problems now. Best regards.

Thank you too, I just had to click the "default" button. That prevented already deleted messages from my trash from being removed from the server... But now it's fixed!

Thank you very much, it was embarrassing to have that window opening every time. SSL box unchecked and everything is back to normal.

Thank you "Brown Bear". Following the switch to W10 and the reinstallation of Office 2007 that I had purchased, I had the same problem with the pop-up that opened every time. I followed your procedure and everything is fine. Thank you again.
