Connecting speakers to a TV

Question

Hello,  I would like to connect my speakers to an amplifier and then to my TV so that the sound comes out of my speakers. For equipment, I have Triangle Z speakers, a Marantz amplifier, and a Philips TV. I receive TV via an Orange decoder. I bought an RCA cable, but the sound is not coming out of the speakers...  So if someone can help me... Thank you!  Configuration: iPhone / Chrome 47.0.2526.83

No worries ;-)  I looked at the specifications of your devices, and the connections are simple.  On your TV, there is an RCA audio out (Red and White), I assume that's the connectors you've used? And on the amplifier, you connect the RCA cables to the "AUX IN" jack, you'll probably need to go into your TV's audio settings and make some adjustments to output sound from this RCA output, it doesn't happen automatically, at least that's what I think, and for the amplifier, just select AUX for audio. Good evening,  Could you please provide me with the brand and the EXACT MODEL of EACH DEVICE? This is so I can better inform you about the connections to be made; the references are generally indicated on the back of the devices. Oh sorry, I should have put them right away... Amp receiver SR5023 Philips TV 42PFL5604H LCD 107 CM HDTV 1080P Triangle speakers z zerius 202  There, I don't think I've forgotten anything!

I made exactly the same connections yesterday.... But still nothing.   The problem is that I can't find an option for the speakers on the TV.  It only offers me: Speakers > On/Off or eazy link  Do you know what the eazy link function is?  Thanks for your help.

Are you sure about your connections? Did you properly connect the RCA cables to the AUDIO OUT of the TV? They are the RCA (Red and White) located right next to the SPDIF OUT.   But you also need to set your amplifier to the AUX audio source, don't forget.  -- --> NO PROBLEMS, ONLY... SOLUTIONS <-- Alcohol doesn’t solve anything, that said, neither does water or milk;-)

Ok, so here’s what I found on pages 49 and 50 of your TV's PDF manual:  I don’t know if there’s a direct connection with the audio OUT RCA of your TV, but when we activate this "EasyLink," it cuts off the TV speakers to only have sound from another source.  They are not very clear on how to use the different ports of the TV; there are indeed diagrams but no explanations, thanks Philips!  -- --> NO PROBLEMS, ONLY SOLUTIONS <-- Alcohol doesn’t solve anything, but neither does water or milk;-)
