Hello,
When I use the eraser, it leaves light gray marks. I would like to be able to erase so that the paper becomes white.

Thank you for your response.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Thank you for your help
indeed it works
And when printing, the eraser also creates white space

Can you help me with the use of the magic wand

Thank you in advance

The magic wand is used to define the boundary of an area of the same color in order to apply different effects.

You can adjust its tolerance in the toolbar at the top, with the default tolerance set at 50%.

To outline, for example, the contour of a person or a face, it is better to use the lasso tool.

There is a handy little help here > https://www.astucesinternet.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=232

Paint .net is like drawing on several acetate sheets. You can draw or erase without damaging important parts. When you erase, it's like seeing the table underneath your drawing. If you erased in white, you wouldn't see the other overlapping images. So the crop effect indicates that you are underneath the last layer. If you print it, it will be white, but if that bothers you for drawing, you can put a layer of any color you want, either white or one of your choice. For example, I erased Marie-Mai's face from one of her photos, then I just had to slide a full photo of my daughter (without cutting it) under that image in another layer and resize it until her face was under the hole of Marie-Mai's face, then I merge. To make it look real, I take the lasso, select a part of the new face and a part of the edge on Marie-Mai, and I blur them using the options at the top of the screen -1- effects -2- blur -3- defocus. Have fun. If you haven't used layers yet, try it; you won't be able to draw without them. To merge, don't forget that you need to be on the layer above the two to be merged.

Good evening

When you use the eraser, it leaves little gray and white squares and that's normal since you are removing the opacity of your image, which reveals the transparent background.

To make your image white, either you create a white layer with 100% opacity that is the same size as your image and you paste it over,

or you take the white color and repaint your image in white with a large brush.
