    Good evening,

A small downside, from my point of view, Paint.net requires the prior installation and likely the ongoing updates of the dot.net framework, which can be a bit heavy for smaller configurations.

    Best regards

      Hello
your remark is strange, don't you have Windows updated on your computer?
and anyway if you have Vista or Seven, the .net framework is installed by default.
      looking forward

      Hello,

There are sometimes even stranger remarks on CCM, but I made a double remark, part of which you "dispute." It probably only concerns users of XP (on borrowed time?) and users who have to maintain multiple versions of dot.net, depending on the related programs. What I meant by talking about "small configurations" (especially in terms of maximum RAM), on which dot.net is not pre-installed.

That said, I uninstalled paint.net to avoid what I consider a disadvantage (I'm not the only one), but everyone does as they please, with CCM allowing the expression of points of view and preferences, of course with good arguments.

      Best regards.

      Hello,
If you are on XP (15 years after the release of Vista?) with 1 GB or less of RAM, you can't run current editing/production software, you need to use older versions like version 3.36 of paint.net which works very well with XP.

      Hello,

I actually have three PCs running XP, I even have one running Windows 3.11 and four under DOS. But it's just for fun. I also have the older versions of paint.net and photofiltre on these PCs, but of course, I no longer get a chance to use them, except for retro parties. I use Windows 8 daily and occasionally run Ubuntu and Linux Slackware, as well as Mac OS 10.
