It doesn't turn off, remove the cord or the batteries if you want

You can put a cover over it...
or put a piece of thick black adhesive tape over the "lens"...
More seriously, I think the only solution is to "remove a battery"
Some of them now have a timer and deactivate after x minutes... you have to turn them back on by clicking on one of the "clicks" (right-click or left-click...)

nothing at all, it did this even less than a month later, I haven't touched anything
she's always plugged in!
so I don't know, it must be badly set up, I don't know if sometimes she wasn't installed properly, that could cause this?

What is annoying is the wear and tear of the batteries, but if yours is powered by the PC, that's fine. It also happens that the modems stay on. This is due to power supplies that work a bit in standby.
