How to remove a wireless mouse receiver

Hello,

I have a laptop with a wireless mouse that has a USB receiver which works very well.

My issue; the receiver does not appear as a USB icon or as a device, so I cannot remove it without ejecting it.

What should I do? Thank you

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 534.10

    Just take it out when your computer is off.
