Hello, have you tried the utility CSS proposed on the Epson website to reset the printer?

As I said above, it's enough to reset the printer; the cushions (sponges) are only half full.

Regards

Sussi

re by typing explode diagram epson ecc... you should find your printer model

I didn't find it but I didn't search thoroughly

you should know: in research like that, I've come across trojans and viruses a lot

I have a good antivirus (AVG) that almost always tells me if I should be worried

at the moment I don't know what to reply to you

best regards

Good evening Geo 39,

As Sussi mentioned, the SCC software should allow you to reset the counter on your printer; after checking, your printer is indeed part of the SCC software list; so it's surprising that you can't install it.

Maybe try this link; you have explanations regarding its usage:
http://imprimante-en-question.blogspot.com/2008/04/ssc-service-utility-pour-les.html

As for the exploded view, here it is:

Good luck!

A big thank you to Jann for the link; thanks to you, I was able to restart my RX500 which was stuck because of the sponges. Thank you.

Dear Michel,
It's great that you managed to unlock your Epson printer. How did you get to the sponges? I've disassembled more than half of the printer and I can't seem to do it. Did you have to take apart a lot?
It would be great if you could reply to me, thanks in advance.

Hello, my Epson printer is stuck with the code E-91. I would like to know how to unblock it and if you have changed your sponges or not. Best regards.

Good evening, error 91 refers to the used ink reservoir being full, it needs to be reset and the sponges at the bottom of the printer should be drained (if you find the reset code, cleaning is not mandatory, they leave a margin of error). This means that the cushions (sponges) are half full, but to prevent the office from getting dirty, the printer goes into standby mode.

See here for the reset

Hello Sussi,
I don't know how to disassemble the printer to clean these cartridges. The exploded view available online corresponds to the RX500, which is very different from mine. As a result, the printer is still stuck. Thank you for your help.

Good evening, we need to be able to dismantle it a little

I read that some printers have a battery (button cell) like on a motherboard and that removing it for a while

could reset the device

Sorry for my French, it is not my native language

I will do more research
and I will keep you updated

Best regards

Sussi, thanks for the tip, I'll try to find that tablet to reset it. I'll try to disassemble the printer a bit to search. I think Epson should talk about all this in the manual. I called Epson, and they told me the machine needs to be sent back to them!!! Estimated cost is around 100 euros, it's crazy because the machine is only 2 years old and I paid 125 euros!!!
I'll keep you updated.
