Hello, something surreal just happened to me. We were watching TV (Samsung LED 117cm) when suddenly the screen exploded without anything falling on it, sending shards of glass flying all over the room.
Of course, I will contact Samsung France, but do you know if such an event has happened before, and who should I contact in case Samsung doesn’t want to acknowledge it?
Just to clarify, my TV is still under warranty.

Hello.. And another foot that breaks clean off at the base.. TV saved by reflex.. Samsung LE46B620R3W... I'm going to check with customer service... But.......
Good evening
if your TV is under warranty, you call the store where you bought it so they can come pick it up and repair it for free
that's the first point
second point

Hello everyone,
I have the same problem as you, though not exactly; the stand didn't break off but instead broke at the base (LED TV UE32C6000), and as a result, the TV fell from about 1 meter.
The TV is not even a year old, and Samsung tells me that this is not covered by the warranty.
So if you could help me to get a favorable outcome, let me know how it went for you and possibly give me your contact details.
Thank you for your help.

When the foot exploded, I couldn't believe it either, I found glass shards in my kitchen more than 10 meters away from the TV..... I'm going to call the store, but I don't want this TV anymore, my 3-year-old daughter was playing right in front of it for 30 minutes, I can't even imagine the damage if it had exploded then....
Defect in the glass, the most important thing is to find other people and spread the word.

We need to form a collective. Samsung changed my stand and according to them, they are already being very nice because it would be my fault, being the only one in France to have reported this issue........... now there are two of us.
But I still haven't received a response to the registered letter I sent them............. strange.........

I contacted the seller today who surprisingly redirected me to Samsung. I immediately got in touch with Samsung by phone using the case number provided the day before. I was attended to by someone who asked me for much more information than the day before, to my surprise, as they asked questions I had already answered the day before, but which did not appear in the file.
They outlined the following procedure:
Within 5 days
To send to the consumer service a explanatory letter, with photos of the TV stand, a photocopy of the invoice, and photos of the damages incurred if applicable. How did you handle your repair, Kelevra, and what were the timelines?
Best regards.

I did exactly as you did, I don't remember exactly how long they took to come replace my TV stand, however, the explanatory letter with photo was sent (by registered mail) in November and I still haven't received a response.....
But it was like ping-pong between Samsung and my retailer, each directing me to the other.
Finally, a Samsung technician came maybe 3 weeks later to change my stand and told me that Samsung was indeed nice to change it for me, normally it's not covered by warranty and that since I was the only case in France, it was certainly my fault, even though he acknowledged that a defect could not be ruled out.
Has your TV itself been damaged?

I stopped it immediately and I haven't put it back into service yet. As for the overall condition of the unit, I haven't noticed anything unusual (for now).
I sent my file today by post according to their instructions, and this evening I just received an email asking me to respond in the same way.

Hello,
the same thing just happened to me; my LED TV stand (UE40C5100) exploded into a thousand pieces last night while I was quietly sitting in my armchair.
It was super hot in Paris yesterday; the cause might be related to the temperature change.
Anyway, I contacted Samsung, who told me it's not covered by the warranty and redirected me to the retailer.
The TV is barely 2 months old; I'm so fed up.
Luckily, my little girl wasn't hanging around; she could have gotten glass shards in her eye, as the projection was impressive.

Ah, at that moment, you absolutely have to contact Samsung. He could have been injured! You can ask for a commercial gesture because a TV stand exploding doesn't make for good publicity!
Hello
my TV is a Samsung with a glass stand, what do you recommend to prevent it from ending up on the ground?
Thank you

Hello, the stand of my Philips TV exploded and projected glass around 1.50 meters in my living room.
I'm highlighting the danger of such a phenomenon!!!
A child could have been in front and could have had their eyes gouged out by this absurd phenomenon:!!!!!!
I contacted Philips, but they don't care because it's out of warranty (to put it mildly, the technician told me as long as it still works...)
We can post photos if needed, and the pictures speak for themselves.
It's shameful; their engineers must be having it easy with their calculations!!!!

All brands don’t care, Samsung, Philips..........it's impressive, when I had Samsung, it was almost my fault, an interrogation worthy of the FBI.......they tell me a heat source.....I have underfloor heating and my TV is on a 70cm TV stand.........it could come from that, the Samsung guy replies.....he's heard about the country.....so I yelled so much that I ended up with 3 TV feet........1 replaced by Samsung, another sent to me by Samsung and another ordered by my retailer......I'm calm if it happens again but like everyone I have a small child and if it explodes when she's in front, hello damage but the worst is that it has to happen to someone for manufacturers to take it into account.........unacceptable.........so I'm going to mount it on the wall........
Well, after posting the picture of the exploded foot on Philips' Facebook page, I was taken into account… they told me they would send me a new foot as compensation, the least they could do, I think!
You have to insist a little and it pays off
I hope that won't happen in the presence of children or animals at someone else's place!

Hello, we just experienced the same thing! Samsung doesn't want to hear anything about it! I can’t imagine if my kids had been in front of the TV at that moment!!!
Hello, we bought our TV just 3 years ago, a 140cm screen, and in the middle of the night we heard a loud noise; the TV fell flat on the floor. Fortunately, there was no damage to the floor, but we realized that it was the crossed stand that gave way, and the TV is badly damaged. I don't know if we can get it repaired
but Samsung does not acknowledge this problem...

Hello
I experienced the same thing today; I was having people over when the leg broke suddenly (at the glue and the vile) without any warning, and the TV that was on a 1-meter-high shelf spun around with an impressive noise. It still works, though I don't know by what miracle, but it's damaged.
It came from Darty but is no longer under warranty. I want to note that I took great care of it; I never moved it even a millimeter and hardly ever touched it.
Fortunately, by some miracle, no one was next to it.

Hello,
I just experienced the same thing; it was impressive, with that noise and projections in all the open rooms of the house. I called Samsung, and they referred me back to the retailer; the store is closed, so I’ll call tomorrow. Fortunately, my grandchildren weren't there, and I was in a closed room.

We experienced the same scenario last night. My husband was adjusting the TV (Samsung 40 inches), and then we heard a cracking sound at the base of the glass foot. My husband caught the TV, and since I was not far away, I helped him hold it up; otherwise, it would have ended up on the living room table.
my foot completely exploded. I called the customer service of the store that sold it to me, as well as Samsung's customer service, who told me to send them a registered letter describing the facts and photos if possible. I sent everything, and after some time a repairman came to change the foot.....
