Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out because I've just installed the Bouygues Telecom Bbox and I'm unable to configure Emule correctly. As a result, it keeps showing LowId.
There’s probably some port mapping that needs to be done on the Bbox interface, but I'm unable to access it.
Is there anyone on the forum who has a Bbox (the one from Bouygues, I want to emphasize that again) and could explain the procedure to follow??
Thanks in advance for your responses ;-)
Best regards.

For me, it's good!!!!
Just set TCP 4662 and UDP 4672 in eMule
You uncheck the connection thanks to UPnP.
In the expert mode management of the bbox, you completely delete eMule (if you created it following all the tutorials) and you go to:
- toolbox
- Game and application sharing
- Choose a task
* Assign a game or an app
In the dropdown menu, you choose eDonkey!!!! In fact, I've been looking for weeks and the bbox already has a configuration for the mule.........
We restart eMule and there we go..... for me, green is green!!!!
PS: Reactivate your bbox firewall!!! It stays green and it's more secure......

To configure eMule for another program (bittorrent ... FTP ... remote desktop ... SSH), simply create a new "Game or application" or more commonly a NAT rule :P
The method:
No need to install the crappy Bouygues CD!!
- Launch an internet browser and paste http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar
- Click on "Expert Mode" and enter the following information /\\ login: admin /\\ password: admin
------> Remember to change this default password!
- Click on "Tools" then "Game and application sharing"
- At the bottom in the menu "Choose a task..." select "Create a game or application"
- A new page appears:
#New game or application
#
#Enter the name of the new game or application.
#
#Name: "enter the name of your rule here" (little tip, choose a name like: AAA_Emule_PC1, it will appear at the top of the alphabetical list ^^)
----- Check the box "Manually configure port forwarding for your game or application"
then click "Next"
-----In the table that appears, you will need to enter 2 lines, the first one:
Protocol---------------Port range-----------Convert to…
TCP-------------------4662 to 4662 ------ 4662
Do not fill in the other fields !!!!!!!!
Click "Add"
Second line:
Protocol---------------Port range-----------Convert to…
UDP-------------------4672 to 4672 ------ 4672
Do not fill in the other fields !!!!!!!!
Click "Add"
Finally, in the menu "Choose a task..." click "Assign a game or application to a local network device" and choose your computer from the list.
This way you have a clean rule that won't touch the Bbox firewall
You can also change the default TCP and UDP ports of eMule, in settings/connections choose 2 numbers and put them in the rule above.
You can use this method for Bittorrent for example by setting port 6881 TCP and UDP (or another of your choice)
You can also create 2 rules for eMule, AAA_emule_PC1 (with 4662 TCP and 4672 UDP) and AAA_emule_PC (with 4562 TCP and 4572 UDP) by assigning them to each PC on your network.
This Bbox is still a hell of a mess, so you might as well make it work once and for all and never have to deal with the worst router interface ever seen... luckily the IDEO offers are not expensive....
Have fun :)

Hello everyone
on eMule you click on IRC
then on the new page you connect at the bottom left CONNECT
you are now directly on the eMule technical chat France
ask there, it's working well

Hello,
I don't know if you found the solution? If not, I can give you the technique I used:
- I uninstalled the old version of eMule I had.
- then I went to my bbox website: management bbox.lan, switched to expert mode, and in the firewall settings, I checked that UPnP was enabled.
- I reinstalled a new version of eMule, and when it came to choosing the ports, I checked: use UPnP to configure my ports. And there, normally, everything is done automatically. eMule will choose the default ports, those accepted by your bbox.
And this time, it is indeed Bouygues Telecom's bbox.

Yes. This response helped me find my problem with my Bbox.
But it didn't work as Zazoo said.
- I went to my Bbox site: management bbox.lan, switched to expert mode, and checked that UPnP was enabled in the firewall settings. (okay with that)

And there, normally, everything is done automatically. eMule will choose the default ports, those accepted by your Bbox. (it didn't work better for me, but it's better to reinstall a new version and indeed check UPnP)
- and in this case, just a tiny extra step: still in expert mode on your Bbox site, declare "Games and Applications assigned" and check eMule, it's pre-configured. Be sure to note the TCP and UDP numbers that you'll need to enter in the "Preferences" and "Connection" section of eMule.
Restart eMule.
And there it worked for me.
Thank you Zazoo.

You're not the only one having issues with that.

Hello, the solution is simple but it required some thought. Disable the firewall on your BBox by going to your expert account for your BBox.
Pass it on.....
Pass it on.....
the login and password are: admin (for both)
I am in the same situation as you and I spent hours on the phone with customer service and still nothing, I can't get it to work either. I tried reinstalling emule and checking the upnp, putting the same port that I created on my bbox and nothing works.
So if someone could help me too
Thank you

Hello everyone, does anyone have a solution because I just installed the Bbox from Bouygues Telecom and eMule is running on low ID. Could someone help me? Thanks to all.
Listen, if it can help you, I also entered the expert settings of the Livebox with the password admin for the two codes, and then I clicked on create a game or application, and then they give you the option to enter your UDP and TCP, and that's where I'm stuck too because I don't know how to fill in the applications. So, hoping this can help you a bit, if someone could tell me how to configure the rest, that would be nice.
Mika thank you,
Your explanation is brief but effective!!!! Too bad your message isn’t at the top of the topic... For a dummy like me, thanks to you I’m all set this morning. Indeed, I had put eMule in the application sharing and by switching it with eDonkey it’s all good.
No need to reinstall eMule, just change the ports in the preferences!!!
Yes it's so cool
Thank you thank you and thank you again

Salut burning_burno, would you be able to explain the same thing to me for Shareaza please? I'm struggling and my head hurts from working on it. Thank you for responding when you can, or if someone else could help me, that would be awesome. Thanks everyone...
Hello,
I have another issue! I followed all the advice you provided earlier but I can't add an app! I select the app name from the dropdown menu and choose the device, but when I click on add after checking the box, nothing gets added! Could someone please guide me?

for those who don't know how to configure the bbox, as I struggled too, I found a website that explains it quite well, plus it was emule who put it online. BE CAREFUL OF FAKE PORTS !!!!!! there are websites that list them on Google otherwise you open the doors to viruses, use the original ones or those from a trusted person: bbox configuration: http://config.emule-inside.net/routeurs/bbox.php
I've been struggling for over a week and it's all good, I'm high!!
Thanks Micka
