Hello,

For some time now, I have been encountering problems when I start my computer or when I want to open PDF files. The system responds: <(The file WINMM.DLL is associated with a missing export NTDLL.DLL:RtlDeleteResource.) What should I do to fix this problem?

Thank you in advance for your help.

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read my message.
I am using Windows ME, and if you have the remedy, it would be really great because I have important documents to print for my job search.
Also, while reading some messages on the forum, I noticed that my laptop is about to give up because I have other error messages like (rundll32.exe or kernel 32).

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hello.
Actually, it's a worm that messed up my machine.
I reinstalled WIN98 and it went back to normal.

    Good luck.

    Good evening,

I have the same problem (under Win ME). Should I understand that it is a virus?

Moreover, I cannot restore because I get the same message when I try to open the restoration...

    grrr...

      Hello.
As I mentioned, my problem was caused by a worm that installed itself on my machine.
I had to reinstall Windows 98, and in order to do that, I was forced to go into the BIOS to disable "Virus checking in the boot sector." I performed a virus scan.
I don't know if it's the best solution, but it worked.

      Kind regards.

      Hello Vogue-rose,

You have Win ME so try a system restore to an earlier date.

Start - search - type: restrui

And choose a date prior to the problem.

      Best regards

    Hello
I'm having the same problem with XP Home for AVI files: I can't open them by clicking directly on them. I then open a player and search for the file. That works... and still, on one condition: that the file is not located in the "My Videos" directory.
Virtualdub just crashed, indicating a problem with ntdll...
It seems there might be a codec conflict, but codecsniper doesn't work on this computer (even though it works perfectly on my laptop).
    If anyone has a solution...
    Thanks

Here is the translation of your message:

"I have the same problem on Windows Millennium: 'the file WINMM.DLL is linked to a missing export NTDLL.DLL: rtldelete resource'. How can I fix this? We can't restore to a later date because this message appears. I can't find a solution, so please help me.

    Thank you in advance, Seb."

I also have this problem. From time to time, I would even say often, Windows Explorer crashes. The first time it crashed, it indicated that the faulty module was ntdll.dll version 5.1.2600.2180. Now, it says: unknown module.
    Thank you for your response.

    A n'Achopp:
1: Uninstall Adobe Acrobat if you are using it..!
    2: Restart..
3: Reinstall Adobe "upgrade version" if possible.. are you still with me
    always..?
4: After restart.. I know "AGAIN!!"

But now, the problem will be just a bad MEMORY.

If it persists, I am at your disposal.

Give me "THE LAST WEBSITES VISITED" or "BETTER"
"THE NAME OF THE PROGRAM YOU LOADED
    AND STARTED BEFORE
    YOU NOTICED THIS ISSUE."

NB: IF the programmers who UPDATE the PROGRAMS or DLLs, signed
their work with; "A DATE, a NUMBER, a signature,
even digital, I think: "THIS IS JUST PERSONAL"
we would see "CLEARER ON THE NET"
    Easy.. I know.

GO!! COURAGE, YOU ARE NOT ALONE ANYMORE
THANKS TO THIS BIG BEAST "THE SPIDER"
    AND ESPECIALLY TO "HOWITWORKS".

    BEST REGARDS REIVILLO

After testing, it turns out that this issue is due to
    downloads of PHP files.
Here is a site where you can DOWNLOAD a program that
manages this very well, to be placed in the program library

    The site: "HTTP://WWW.psad.com

    Thank you Reivillo..
Is what you say in 14 and 15 also an answer to the problem I raised in 11?
As for the program you propose to load on the site psad.com, what exactly is it? When I open the site, I only see a few programs in English (which I don't understand) and in shareware!

Old problems are hard to die...
Since the time the post was created (2 years !!) it keeps coming back and persisting...
Personally, I haven't had this problem for a long time, but ... I don't remember how I got rid of it...
That said, today I just reset my computer to "new" with CCleaner.
    Go to the site http://www.01net.com/editorial/323664/cure-de-jouvence-pour-pc/remettez-windows-e...
and read everything there is on the subject. But read everything before starting (you might lose useful cookies).
And cleaning the registry is really great! I have eliminated problems of the same kind as those discussed here radically.

    Good luck.
