Hello everyone.
For the past few days I've had an issue with missing vxd files
at the startup of win98se.
I ran an SFC scan and was able to recover the relevant files.
Unfortunately, I still get an error message after the WINDOWS desktop opens indicating that the msnp32.dll file is missing and that the network is not functioning.
I have extracted the file but the message persists.
THANK YOU for any valuable help you can provide in resolving this issue... hope to hear from you soon.

Good evening,
Solution found on another forum:
This problem is related to an incomplete installation of the Microsoft Network Client.
Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel / "Network" icon:
If the Microsoft Network Client is present, it needs to be removed, click on the "OK" button, a message stating that the network is not complete may appear, click "Yes" to continue.
There is no need to restart, click on the "Network" icon again, reinstall the "Microsoft Network Client" component by clicking on Add, Client, Microsoft.
Click "OK" on the network window, specify the path of the Windows installation files for file copying and then restart the computer.

If not, everything has to be redone.
