Hello,Hello
Today I received a letter from Roissy asking me to provide the invoice for a watch I bought in Australia.
I explain to you that I bought 3 watches on eBay in Australia for 92 euros because the Australian dollar is worth half of the euro, so I took the opportunity to give gifts and treat myself.
Everything was fine until I received 2 watches and found it strange that one hadn't arrived, so I contacted my seller.
Today I have this famous letter asking me to provide the invoice. I have everything: the eBay invoice, the PayPal invoice, and the transaction summary. But the problem is that all these documents summarize the 3 watches.
So I wanted to know if I send the documents to customs, what will happen when they see that I bought 3 watches?
Knowing that the watch is valued at 30 euros at customs, I think if it costs more than 30 euros, it’s better to let it go.
If I don’t contact them, will there be further action regarding me?
They wrote to me that they will return the item to the sender in 1 month without a response from me.
But basically, my 2 questions are:
Should I send the documents?
Will I have problems if I don’t respond?
P.S.: Furthermore, they say in the letter that the item comes from Hong Kong, and they misspelled my name.
Thank you for your responses

Hello, I suppose this is a counterfeit?
In any case, do not present the invoice for the 3 watches because at best you might pay taxes for the 3 watches, at worst the fine for the 3 (the fine consisting of multiplying the value of the original by a multiplier, generally 3)
So especially if your name was misspelled, keep a low profile, you'll only lose €30!

Hello
I also received a letter from Chronopost International from Roissy, customs separate service
They are asking me for an invoice for products purchased in China for my DS Lite
File number EE058308360CN
I just looked at my invoice and I believe there is no customs tax accounted for
What should I do, should I send them the invoice and if the customs fees haven't been paid do you know how much they could amount to for a purchase of 160 euros
Thank you very much for your response as I am worried and do not want any issues with customs

Hi everyone, I just received a letter from the customs declarants. In response, I’m sending them the invoices for my purchase, which is a guitar worth 600 euros ordered from the USA! I would like to know how long it will take them to send it to me now that I have provided the invoices. I’m a bit in the dark here; my package was sent express, and the tracking hasn’t been updated since! I’m worried!!!
-
Hi
In my opinion, if you don't send them, they will come looking for them... and customs don't mess around.
Hoping for you that they are not counterfeits.

Well, it took me 20 days because I took EMS, which is the fastest, and I gained 4 kilograms. I slipped through the cracks, but my colleague, on the other hand, hasn't received anything in 2 months, lol. But he gained 20 kg as well. Keep me updated.

The invoice is meant to establish the tax, in no way to ensure that you have paid (an invoice is also requested if it's a gift)
If it's just a sub-brand, no worries, but Customs may want to see the invoice to establish the origin of the counterfeit. In some cases, you can't determine this without opening the watch.
I will go hang out by Customs on Monday to find out more, but no guarantees.
If you decide to let it go and let them return it, no worries, there's little chance, if any, that they will follow up with you. There are bigger fish around the holidays.-
Nemo, there is only one watch that hasn't arrived, it's the one that the post office specified for me. I received the other two a week ago.
There is also a sticker with a number on the envelope, and it's written in bold: IMPORT FRANCE TO BE FLASHED.
I don't know what that means, but anyway, I'll see what I can do; I have a month.
Additionally, Post Australia sent it registered; I don't see anything suspicious, but they are just doing their job.
Thank you if you have any information.

Here is the Australian, just woke up, he tells me that they will try everything for the new invoice, but to try to say that this package has no value, it's a gift from my cousin in Australia.
Indeed, I see that he checked gift on the other envelopes and wrote next to the price: NCV "No Commercial Value"
Ugh, why he did this I don't know because my cousin in Australia that wouldn't make sense, even my contact either, and I don't like to lie, no way!!!
Now they will see that he lied if there is an invoice :s-
The cousin of Australia has already done this for them! Especially since even for a gift you need an invoice!
Wait until Monday, I hope to be able to tell you more...
The label "To Flash" is for us, La Poste; it indicates that the barcode must be entered to inform the Australians about the arrival in France.
Can you give me your customs file number?
-
-
But I don't have a customs file number, it's just a letter from the post office of the international mail department (customs declarants service) that I received. I think it's just the post office that wrote to me.
-
Yes, it's normal; when Customs writes themselves, it's not a good sign. But your package is what we call "disjoint," meaning it is under Customs surveillance as long as the declarants can't clear the invoice.
I thought there was a reference on the letter to locate the package more quickly, but I'm in Export, so it's not exactly my area. Still, check if there's any added number somewhere. Given the volume of packages, I don't think it's sorted by name.
Without any reference, I will have a hard time giving you precise information.

Hello,
if it's about counterfeits and the customs have the invoice as well as the watches,
and they summon you (you never know, anything can happen, right?), present the address of the person who sent it to you
otherwise, find out by consulting a penal code to see what it says
Don't panic
NEVER FORGET THAT SITES LIKE EBAY CAN RESELL COUNTERFEITED ITEMS AND
THAT YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL-

HELLO everyone,
I take advantage of this forum to ask if anyone knows the standard delay between the moment you receive that famous letter from LA POSTE ROISSY under customs (which is my case, last Friday, for a package ordered from the USA) and the moment you receive the item.
Basically, do I have a chance to get it before Christmas?
THANKS EVERYONE

Hello Nemo, and I'm sorry to drop by like this unexpectedly, but I saw that you work at the post office in Roissy.
Let me explain my problem: I ordered a package from Portugal, and it was sent out with tracking number RC230439697PT. According to the Portuguese tracking site, it arrived in Roissy.
Since the package changes numbers once it gets to France, I called several services and got my French number RQ210891298FR (noting that my package arrived in Roissy on April 2, 2009). Following this number, I called the international service because the package does not appear on the post office's system.
This service tells me that they cannot locate it using this number.
I would like to know if it's possible to do something since it’s a small package.
Thank you in advance for your response.

If you send your invoice by fax quickly, you have a chance, but there are a lot of packages piled up right now, especially because it's Christmas!
High value? -
Hello,
It's super interesting your topic, I wanted to share my little story... Actually, I was supposed to receive a package from the United States (USPS) containing shisha tobacco. It's not the first time I've received it, but apparently this time, according to what Chronopost told me after my call, the package was seized by customs in Roissy for counterfeiting. I think there's a mistake somewhere since the package only contains AL-Fakher brand shisha tobacco (www.alfakheronline.net) which is not available here in France. My tracking number is as follows: EC94 3979 655U S
I wanted to know if anyone has the contact details for customs in Roissy so that I can call them to clarify this!
Thank you in advance for your responses. -
Thank you for your quick responses.
As for whether it's counterfeit when purchasing, it's not specified, and I wouldn't be able to tell you if they are fake because I see a normal watch as I expected.
But still, I sent an email to the seller asking him to provide me with an invoice for the watch in question.
Personally, I really don't want to pay more than the value of the watch, plus I'm sure they won't realize that it's in Australian dollars on the invoice and will charge me taxes based on the US dollar.
The address is my boyfriend's work address where I receive my packages because we used to live there, to avoid spending 45 minutes at the post office like today. So I put it under Mr. (X) and they wrote my name with a mistake and under Mr. (X with my first name).
Finally, I prefer losing the last version than 30€. -
Good evening,
if you don’t reply to them, they will find it strange, and in my opinion, they won’t let you go.
Personally, I really don’t want to pay more than the value of the watch, plus the idiots, I’m sure they won’t notice that it’s in Australian dollars on the invoice and will charge me taxes based on the American dollar.
don’t be so sure, they’re not as stupid as that, be careful with customs.

Here is the watch

a citizen at €12...
didn't you ask yourself any questions???
Stéphane -
It's a QQ made by Citizen, so it's a sub-brand, and looking at the name QQ, it can't be of great value.

Well, it's pretty simple, isn't it? Q&Q isn't a very expensive brand originally, and I just wanted to take advantage of the Australian dollar, but it's okay, I'll know for next time.
And I’m already going to call customs to tell them that I didn't order anything from Hong Kong, and if they manage to read correctly that it’s from Australia, then I'll wait for the seller's invoice for this watch and I'll send it to them.
I hope they'll need the invoice; otherwise, at worst, I'll send all the documents.
But it's nice of you to respond to me sincerely, and it happens once, and when we realize it, we don't do it again, and we just go to the mall to buy our watch.
Thanks anyway. -
Yes, but it's strange... And don't worry, if it's the customs that opened it, they saw 3 watches
But generally, they don't send them back if they believe it's counterfeit

Stéphane -
It's a shame because all three were shipped the same day and only this one hasn't arrived (it was mine too, grrrrrrr). The others were for my sister and my mother-in-law.
Oh dear, they're not keeping an eye on those they should be watching.
But otherwise, I'm happy to send the papers; I'm waiting to see if my seller, who just woke up because it must be 10 a.m. over there, can give me a single invoice. -
So it's just a letter from the customs declarant service asking me basically at the bottom:
PS: PLEASE PROVIDE THE INVOICE.
They just want to proceed with the customs clearance of the item. And within a month, otherwise it will be returned to the sender
They are asking for either the invoice or proof that I have paid (well, there are 3 instead of 1 watch)
So I will opt for the invoice that my seller will certainly provide me.
Well, I'm going to have dinner and watch the end of NCIS.
Thanks again and hopefully I'll have good news soon.
Good night -
Good evening
By the way, I should mention that the watches were sent in 3 different packages just to make me pay the shipping costs each time, pfff.
But well, there is only one that hasn't arrived
I hope to hear from you soon, nemo
thank you-
Hello Myrtille,
As I promised you, I went to see the customs declarants yesterday and luckily the one who handled your file is a friend.
He had indeed made a mistake on the country of origin and has restored the correct country (AU).
There is no issue with your package and customs just wants to know the value to establish the amount of taxes. Apparently, given the value you indicated to me, you will benefit from an exemption.
But nothing can be done without an invoice or the Paypal receipt if you paid this way. A simple fax will suffice.
However, your sender is indeed a company that sends hundreds of watches, hence the customs suspicion.
Keep me updated, Myriam

Hello
Thank you Nemo for everything.
The Australian seller sent me an invoice he made and I was waiting for your response to know if I should send it or not so I will send a fax accompanied by a letter indicating the purchase link so that he can clearly see the price and the invoice made by the seller on his computer.
Paypal is not possible because it includes the price of the 3 watches while I have already received the other 2.
Bye, thanks again. -
