Hello,
I have a friend who has a Medion PC, and he would like to restore it to factory settings, back to the state it was in when purchased. However, we don't know how to do it, and I should mention that the PC was provided without any CD; Vista was installed originally.

Is there a partition on the hard drive intended for recovery?

What you can do is directly post your problem in the Medion forum, I think they can explain it to you step by step, because the ftp system seems strange to me too for creating CDs.

I received a response today, but it's what I feared, I was given the following address ftp://ftp.medion.fr/Pilotes/Divers/Utilitaires/ (the Medion FTP), and I still can't access it.
So I'm desperately waiting for a solution, especially since my friend really needs to perform this factory reset. I believe that these days PCs are becoming complicated. =)

Finally, I finally managed to access the Medion FTP, a great achievement, and to think it was just a matter of going to tools, internet options, advanced, scrolling down to browsing, and unchecking the box to use passive FTP mode.
We are going to burn the recovered images and perform a factory restore, hoping that it works.

Hello, I know it's been a long time, but I have the same issue and everything is in English and I don't understand much... which option should I choose for the restore, hoping to get a response.

When you turn on the PC, it's usually written, for me it's F11

I only read it, they don't explain much, just the ways to recover but not how to do it.
We'll check at the PC's startup to see, we inquired and yes, it does have a hidden partition.
At startup, the only thing we can see is ctrl+I but it's hard to explain what we're seeing when we do it.

To display the BIOS setup in order to reinstall your entire PC as if it just came out of the factory, restart your PC and press the Delete key while holding it down. There you go!
