Hello everyone, I just acquired an Asus P5Q motherboard and I'm struggling with the connectivity because the explanations in the diagram provided with the board are miserable!!
I've tried all the settings, when I turn on the PC, I hear one beep... then two in succession and then the error message appears:
USB DEVICE OVER CURRENT STATUS DETECTED
SYSTEM WILL SHUT DOWN IN 15 SECONDS
And then there's no possibility to do anything and the PC shuts down after 15 seconds....
I'm therefore reaching out to you to resolve this issue...
Thank you very much in advance.

Good evening Kinito2108,
According to what you indicate, a USB device is drawing too much power (USB DEVICE OVER CURRENT). To avoid a more serious issue, the PC shuts down.
Perhaps the cable connecting to a used USB port is reversed... or there may be a defective cable causing a short circuit...
In any case, you need to carefully recheck the connections, cables, and contacts.
Best regards,
