Editing issue with FileZilla

I would like to be able to modify certain elements, but when I click on it

is missing or incorrect."

I deduce that I may not have the right software to read the files (xfs if I remember correctly).

I tried it, it doesn't work at all and there's not even a message... you transfer your files to the desktop and modify them normally...

What he means is that with Filezilla 2, you could right-click on the file on the machine and open its php or txt file directly in Dreamweaver or another application.

Now with Filezilla 3, it's impossible. I even configured it in edit/settings/file editing as stated, but without success:

txt "C:\Program Files\Notepad++\notepad++.exe" -open
php "C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver 8\Dreamweaver.exe" -open

Should I check the box "Inherit associations...", I don't know, it doesn’t change anything.

Advice: don't switch to Filezilla 3...

I am a novice in website publishing.
I am using Filezilla, and when I try to display/edit my web page, I get an error message:

"The file index.html cannot be opened.
The associated program ('/Users/cathelenejacquinet/Desktop/site/safari.app'<'index.html') was not found.
Please check your file type associations."

WHAT should I do?

Well, it's simple... by having enough power to modify HTML files on the latest version of Mozilla, I reverted to version 2.2.32 and have no more issues!!! I open it whenever I want, or I double-click and the file opens... these are the joys of progress... we ruin what was good under the pretext of updating...

On FileZilla 3 to use Dreamweaver.
In default editor:
I choose to use the custom editor:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC\Dreamweaver.exe"
Always use the default editor.

It works great.
