The avast icon is not spinning anymore

Solved

Hello,
I had an automatic update of Avast yesterday (new database), with the new version of Avast that I installed.
The two icons "i" and "a" are well positioned in the taskbar.
The resident protection is functioning.
However, I am worried because the icon is not spinning...

Please let me know if you know why and what I can do...
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Morgane,

The icon only turns if there is traffic on the network

Well, since this morning, it hasn’t been turning...

    Except if there’s traffic...

But as long as we’re connected to the internet, there’s traffic, right?

      Morgane,

      Traffic = exchange of information
You can stay connected to the Internet and do nothing but admire the homepage. (Relaxing, right?)
However, test your icon's reaction by downloading a file; if Avast is okay during this operation, it should move around.

Thank you for your help Sloubi,
but right now, for example, I'm updating Java and Avast isn't reacting...
And I've been participating in a forum for several hours, I'm surfing on web pages... Nothing works!

it depends on what you do
you can be connected with an open page without doing anything and have very little traffic, or none at all
right-click on the avast icon and go to resident protection management
    set everything to: high

I'm posting on a forum.. I'm connected to MSN..
There are exchanges of information, right?
      Maybe by rebooting the computer?

    Hello

Right-click on the Avast ball, settings, themes, check that the box is checked green: "animate the icon during a scan." Restart the computer to see the effect of the setting.

    Hello,

I had already checked this point by looking at the questions that had already been posted on this topic.
But I didn't restart the computer... I will do it now...
