Hello,

my little blue Avast ball disappeared a month ago (I know that's a while ago^^) but when I go to "check the security status of this computer" it tells me that Avast is working fine, etc... (no problems at all^^).

But is it normal for my little blue ball to be gone?

Thank you
Configuration: Windows Vista SP1 Internet Explorer 7.0

    or here:

Yes, in "check the security status of this computer," it says "Avast indicates that it is up to date and that virus detection is enabled"; moreover, it found some viruses even though the blue ball was not there.

      did you recover the icon?

      if not
      Start>All programs>Avast antivirus
      Activate it
and, in the Avast window click at the top left (arrow up highlighted)
      go to themes

      and check the options:

show the avast! icon in the taskbar
animate the icon during a virus scan
