Help! How to remove Chinese characters

Hello,
For professional reasons I had activated the font: "Simplified Chinese characters" and now when I copy emails, my copy is filled with Chinese characters or things like A@ that replace all accented vowels (acute, grave, etc.).
I tried unchecking in "Regional and Language Options" everything that could be Chinese, but it's still the same and it wastes a lot of my time to restore all my accents!
