Hello,
I have a brand new HP Pavilion, M9170. After a Windows update, I get an error message on startup: "imminent hard disk failure", which forces me to start it manually. It has a three-partition drive originally, two of 465 GB plus the recovery partition. I reinstalled everything, updated the BIOS (5.22), but nothing works. Does anyone have an explanation? Thank you.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

hello

apparently, if you have the message in the startup bios saying it's going to fail, it's damaged

back up your data, and buy another hard drive just in case

I have a PC that has the same message, I have to press f2 at startup, but well, it's been 4 months that it's been like this^^
and it's an hp too

Salut Gouby, peux-tu me dire d'où vient ton message d'erreur ? J'ai exactement le même que toi. Je dois faire F2 pour démarrer également. Sais-tu si cela vient d'un virus ou autre ?

Hello

Actually, at the beginning I had defective clusters on the hard drive, so I repaired them (or at least I thought I did), I also formatted, and a week later, I received this message, so the hard drive is about to give up, it's been 6 months now that I've been seeing this message :))

Hey, same issue on HP after an update, surprising because I rarely use the PC, except for my girlfriend who uses it from time to time, but still, it's already a PC that runs slower than a snail ??????
